Yeah the death tax line was a nice line from the mail, it actually is a fairer system overall as you say. Quote

I've changed my mind and if he is PM, it won't get my vote next time, hence why its important other parties have feasible policies. You've changed your mind in a politics thread??? Fuck me Prepare for the hurricane my friend. You have my sympathy in advance. Quote

He always will be a cunt. But he's the lying cunt that has just ripped up the idea of manifestos. How can the public make an informed decision in future? Why would Labour or the Lib Dems bother with fully costed policy ideas and sensible manifestos? Brexit and this shower of shite has proved that bullshit and bluster will go a long way. Promise tax cuts and blow jobs on the NHS. Promise 300 new hospitals then just install an new fag vending machine in the foyer. Piece of piss. Edited September 7, 2021 by mickbrown Quote

Boris might be a cunt like Mick says, but those 2 are clueless cunts!! Let's hope BJ is replaced, however and whoever it is, Mick will still be calling them a cunt 😁 Nah. Unless it's Gove. Or Raab. Or Williamson. Fuck it......you might have a point😃 Quote

Said it before and I will say it again, the worst cabinet in my lifetime. Utter dog shit. Call Theresa May all you like for her role in the Windrush scandal and as PM the Brexit in/out/shake it all about but I believe her Government would have dealt with Covid so much better and not lined the pockets of her Cabinets mates in the process. Unfortunately it's hyperthetical and we will never know for sure. She was I agree entirely. She is however still miles better than the lump of festering spunk lard we have as PM now. Quote

I've spoken to a customer of mine a few times about him, and she's always said he likes to be popular. Something which I think she's right on. Now however, we're seeing something very different. The bollocks to go where no one from Blair to Cameron has dared. There will always be the question of whether the money could be raised by taxation in a different area, and time may show that that would have been better, but there will have been teams of folk pouring over the numbers, and others in the party saying no. Got to make a decision sooner rather than later, the work starts now to ensure the benefits are achieved. Quote
Not in Crawley Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 The man is brave enough to do something quite unbelievably wrong, which causes least damage to his party donors? People of Middle age who are working should be bloody furious about this, I'm staggered (still, after all this time) that folk swallow the shit they are being given and even support it. What witchcraft is popularism? Create an imagined enemy, and you can get away with anything. It's like having Papa Doc in charge. Quote
frank_spencer Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 Could rake in more than the supposed 12bn a year by getting those from the Panama papers etc to chip in their fair share. This is just another kick in the nuts for the 'working man'. Quote
tomski Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 (edited) Was always going to happen. Boris told us he was raising taxes when he said he wasn’t! Where is the £350m a week from the bus? I find it sad that people (admittedly twitter) are deriding folk who claimed furlough and saying they all moaning now. I didn’t claim a penny and worked right through but I’m glad it was there for people that needed it. Tories divide and conquer mission achieved once again. Sorry seen there is an NI thread. If it hadn't been for furlough, we would have been fucked. My mrs is working full time again now as am I but without it we wouldn't have got through last year. Our sector just shut. No gigs, no concerts, no theatre, no film. Horrible times, and we were really, really lucky. About to take up a position as a director of my own compnay - really nervous but the pandemic has given me a great opportunity as its changed everything and there are opportunities if you can rout them out. Also after this year, I don't want to go back, see my inside % go to someone else and draw a wage and have to work from an office. I want more flexibility and control. Quote

Would of been a grim place without it. I find it odd the chip on their shoulder some have about working through when others didn’t yet derive those that didn’t/couldn’t. In my now old team at work I was amazed how many are bitter about the fact we worked through. One even asking when our lieu days are due!!! Quote

He is happy for average working people to bear the brunt of this when it should have been shared across the whole population. Funny how over 65s are not significantly impacted (the main Tory supporting sector). Quote
Spider Posted September 8, 2021 Posted September 8, 2021 People just seem to dig in even deeper in their support of Boris no matter what he does. It is genuinely bizarre and grotesquely fascinating at the same time. Mr Grey a notable exception. There are still some folk who know when enough’s enough it seems Quote
