For me it’s odd to be calling female MPs scruffy bitches & ugly. Instead of just talking directly about what you dislike. We all call people all the names under the sun, especially public figures. But it’s a fine line, which imo is crossed when you comment on things they can’t really control. Like appearance or accent. Also, you saying you take a women more seriously or listen to her depending on how she speaks. Why should folk have to change their accent so you can listen to them?

Rayner is proud of her roots and that’s something I can get behind. We all unconsciously judge people based on looks and accents. But surely in today’s world it’s about trying to acknowledge that & not basing your opinion of that person on those things until you’ve had the chance to get to know them.
