My 8 year old reckoned it was the best day out ever and my 16 year old dropped his Barnsley ticket money off before he even took his shoes off.

Thats fuck all to do with the shithouses on the pitch and everything to do with the 1000 lads and ladies in the stand.

If you went today, thanks for making it ace.

Whether you're a glass half empty or a glass half full supporter, that today was embarrassing & unacceptable.

Before kick off we knew the result from Barnsley & I'd guess the majority would have said today was written off as a loss.

That given, I'd say we had nothing to lose to go at them, try to get an unexpectable result like Sunderland did.

If we went for it & lost 6 nil, nobody would be surprised, but to roll over & whimper out without a fight is unacceptable. We should have got at them early,.threw caution to the wind & attacked....

Nothing,

weak, defensive, clueless & feckless

Just fook off Parky with your loser mentality.

Every time we look like we're clear, you try NOT to lose, which means you do.

It was the same last season, every time we looked like we would be promoted, or have a chance at the title, you bottled it & went all conservative & defensive, then nearly blew it & took it to the last day of the season.

After a shite start to the season after another Shit pre-season finally we started looking like we might survive, then he goes weak again with his loser mentality. The stats shown on SKY against Villa says it all. 18 goals let in, in the last 15 minutes, highest out of all the 4 leagues, Chesterfield, bottom of league 4 were the next nearest...... With 12!!!!

Shocking statistics, sneak something, sit back.... & get fooked

Terrible manager

Negative

Boring

Ineffectual to the resources he has

Whether we have no money or not, I wouldn't trust him with, 8 players in during the transfer window, over 30 squad members, 3 teams, from a club that's supposed to be skint

Millwall & Sheff U that came up with us are both hunting for the play offs, having spent fook all, because they built a team! around a manager, rather than given a prick a load of players he doesn't know what to do with

Just for Anewman.....

Parky Out!

Parky’s tactics don’t work and are negative and boring af.

If we are going to have a defensive minded manager who plays for the clean sheets, then get the clean sheets then and sort the defense out.

Basically, Parky as a manager is good at nothing, not at this level.

He did a decent job for us last year at his level.

But the championship is obviously beyond him, if we managed to somehow stay up, we have to move on and get someone who is capable of putting a team out that can do more, than just playing for a draw and sticking 11 men behind the ball, which gets punished at this level.

That pile of dogwank today was as close as we’ll get to the Lennon days (anyone who knows my Scotch persuasions will know how awkward a sentence that is). However, let it not detract from the fact that Parky did remarkably well last season, remarkably well this season and be one of the few managers in football history who can play a midfield three and get done over by the opposition’s central two.

As it is, on the way home we bumped in to an old lady up Leigh who’d missed her bus and was completely lost so we arranged for a taxi to her front door and stayed with her unf it arrived. Karma determines that we stay up so we can chill out now.

Yeah we need a manager who can turn the worst squad in the league into attacking maestros...

Some people need to grow up. There is no pace in the squad, limited midfield players and centre halves whose first instinct is to lump it.

We are the only side not to spend any money this season. But then we haven’t spent a thing for three seasons. And have been along the way selling our better players.

Lennon was an attacking manager and with a better squad left us bottom and in a mess. Parky is a manager who looks what he has and tries his best to get results from them. The fact what he has isn’t good enough and has had his best striker sold and is left with a collection of journeymen failures explains why it’s tricky.

No doubt losing Madine and having hardly any time to get a replacement in has been a problem for PP with the rest of the squad being so geared to playing a certain way. The issue for me is that it feels like when Wilbraham was signed it was a bit like signing a reserve keeper, Madine was his man, he'd play every week and Wilbraham would only be trundled out if he was injured or suspended. The second target man ought to have had a bit more spent on him wages-wise and been treated as serious competition, to push Madine and even replace him for a run of games if he went off the boil. Once the last minute dash to replace Madine failed PP's been left with a backstop that's not good enough or mobile enough to be of any real use, hence him turning to Ameobi as a central striker (ridiculous) or ALF (too small).

Things have fell down a lot on signings for me this season, no doubt we've had a small budget for this league but either PP's having the say and is a bad judge based on how little a number of them have played or he doesn't have all the say and doesn't like what he's being given to work with.

When we signed Wilbraham the league had restricted us to £4.5K a week. Which is why we ended up with Wilbraham and nobody any better.

I’m not buying that it’s all down to Madine going and not getting a suitable replacement

He was here until the end of Jan, when he left we were 22nd in the league and we had accumulated 26 points out of 28 games

Since he left we have gained 13 points in 13 games and have moved a place up in the league

Broadly speaking, in terms of return, we are tracking at the same rate with ALF in place of Madine

For every Birmingham at home when we lumped it up and missed a big man you have a Villa at home when ALF lead the line brilliantly

Said it a few times. We haven't got the worst squad in the division. It's an excuse to keep trudging it up

Agree

For as shit as we were first 11 games we've been very good in other spells

For as solid as we were against villa where players were described as running through walls for parky we've now had 3 defeats in a row and KA bitching about players who aren't committed

Not sure why but it's not because we have a poor squad or no money

We have weakest squad in the key areas centre mid and centre forward you only have to look at yesterday a 38 year old never has been and a 35 year old Centre mid who’s playing in a young mans position without a partner worthy of playing centre mid instead playing alongside an average league 1 player (Vela)

Folk need to stop buying into this myth pedalled by bitter bradford fans that PP is just a long ball merchant and instead back PP, cut the negativity it’s not going to help us get over the line in fact it’s possibly going to play a leading role in us going down.

Folk who want us to change style and try play free flowing football need to give their head a wobble we just have not got the players available who can do that at this level.

Losing your top scorer is never good. Especially when nothing is reinvested back into the side.

We were on the edge and losing any first team player didn’t help. Losing the top scorer in a team struggling for goals and not replacing those goals is a problem.

We were fine till Leeds.

We wouldn't expect fuck all there anyway, or at derby. Brum on different day was a scrappy 0-0/1-0

The world didn't end by selling 'our top scorer' and we did replace him. We replaced him with Alf who'd been sat on the bench all season. And he's done just fine and covered more ground than anyone in the team.

Check Birch's post. Nothing changed in selling Madine. Apart from our bank balance.

The way you and your cronies were going on we should be rock bottom by now.

I feel as though this week I will start a lot of posts with. Iam a Parky fan but ....... he went 5 3 2 yesterday. With a midfield of Henry, Karrythecan and Vela. We never got a kick till he changed it.

We conceded direct from a corner with 3 centre halves nowhere near the ball.

Two young full backs did ok but were some major changes in formation and personnel needed ? Is Moralis injured ? Buckley ? The Nigerian ?

He lives and falls by results from his decisions. Seemed to get a lot wrong yesterday.

Spot on

But what has changed since Leeds is the desire to be first to the ball. No other championship sides would have conceded such soft goals as the last 6 we have let in. We stopped Villa albeit with a bit luck at times but the recent standing off is diabolical and the gift against Birmingham maybe very costly.

Midfield is weaker without Pratley and Henry cannot do it alone and is getting the run around. Vela has been very poor recently and the decision to bring Karacan back was stupid; saying that Derek is such a soft cunt that doesn’t put a foot in so I am really not sure how we could have beefed up the midfield

The panic signings of Walker and Clough following The Washing Machines departure were madness and we have been unlucky with the German because it’s that part of the pitch were we are getting mullered

Where the hell is devite?

On the bench yesterday.

Tactics all wrong from the start. Midfield sliced open at every opportunity and offered nothing going forward. Only positive was Robinson when he got on the ball and he’s not even our player

With that stats comparison you need to take out the first 11 games with 2 points as we had no ameobi, henry or vela . So thats 24 points from 17 games with madine in the proper team. We were on an upward curve.

Nothing’s changed? In the last 13 games he was here we scored 13 goals. In the 13 since he’s gone we scored 8.

Without a target man we struggle to create since our players have to play more intricate football that they aren’t really capable of.

When he was here we created more and scored more because it was easier.

Now it’s bloody hard work and is as simple as trying to find a way to play up to ALF with a limited team is far far more tricky than being able to play off a target then work it wise and get crosses in.

We need to play well to win. With Madine we could win without playing well. Cardiff at home for example. Did nothing then last twenty minutes he bosses them.

Whatever way you cut it we’ve never been free scoring. But taking our target man and top scorer out has reduced us below a goal a game significantly. That’s a huge problem in a tight run in.
