But would you go on TV and slag off your own Dad? Aye. This. Not watched it, never going to watch it, not interested. What does interest me is why do people have this constant need to unload in public? Emotional diarrhoea. No fucker can hold it in anymore. It's the posh, connected version of two daft bints having an argument on Facebook in front of all their 'friends'. No bugger has any dignity anymore. If I was him I'd have fucked off with all my money and you'd never have seen or heard from me ever again. Moral high ground seized, dignity intact, job done. Quote
bolton_blondie Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 I'm watching it because there's fuck all going on In my life. Love a bit of drama. Quote

Breightmet Boy Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 As I see it they’ve sold their souls to the media. I’m not going to watch the show, I’d rather they didn’t balloon about our Royal Family and if they wanted to get out of the limelight, do it with dignity. Quote

William and Kate, and indeed Harry have been lauded as the modern face of the monarchy. The fact that they may be deemed a bit stuffy and dedicated to duty is what attracts folk to the capital. Change too much just to conform and they become irrelevant. We dont know what processes and support are actually used within it, so not exactly easy to make any judgements. Some strong accusations have been made, from people wanting out and wanting to be away from prying eyes. Privacy is the last thing they're getting now. I'm not sure they will last the decade as man and wife; she seems to have form for falling out with those close to her. Edited March 8, 2021 by Tonge moor green jacket Quote

Carlos Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 It's like a council estate Facebook drama being played out by Princes. What Harry is trying to achieve, other than grabbing a load of cash, I don't know. Wanting privacy then moving to Hollywood... Only a matter of time before someone makes a film taking the piss out of him. Quote

CBS reckon 100 million watched the interview; more than watched the Superbowl; and it seems likely to me that most of those viewers last night were women. Quote

They're only worn in public when jogging, or nipping to the corner shop. I only stick my hands down the front in private. 😉 Quote

Ghana White Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 Yep loads of Americans are obsessed with the royal family and cant believe when you're not arsed about them.. all just seems a distraction for the press so they dont have to confront the real news Quote

DazBob Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 I think her point was that a white man shouldn't be telling black folk what they should or shouldn't be offended by. Quote
Zico Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 not arsed about the royal family either way - I'm happy enough to have them as they've always been there, history and all that but wouldn't bat an eyelid if they announced that it was being dismantled and there'd be no more kings or queens I'll watch tonight, to see how they pitch their depature - saw a headline on the BBC where Harry was quoted as saying they "literally cut me off financially" which is why he has to do these deals and interviews to get by will be interesting to see the context and if that is a sore point, but yes, you quit your day job, that's how it works Quote

That's one interpretation of her comments. Equally could she be suggesting that he isn't capable of judging what is and isn't racist? If so, then that's a whole new slippery slope. Anyway, that's away from meghan's direct comments. If you make an allegation then back it up. Supposedly the comments were made to Harry which he then passed on to her- so why didn't he (as a senior royal) deal with it formally there and then, or if necessary chin the individual concerned? Think we need a straightener between the two brothers outside villa's club shop. Quote
Escobarp Posted March 8, 2021 Posted March 8, 2021 Is the consensus on here that the US is inherently more racist than the Uk? I certainly believed it was from my vie looking from the outside. although im sure Tricia will have an issue with me commenting. It seems one of the driving reasons behind leaving the UK from Harry’s perspective was to escape from racism. Strange place to move to potentially that being the case? Quote
