There’s a storm brewing about labs in Wuhan studying bat coronaviruses (not man made BTW) and poor facilities.

Clearly, there will be accusations at some point that the Chinese have fucked up. They will not react well to that.

What if it holds steady at around 750 for a week or two with no increase or decrease though?

My mate, who plans for Chorley and Preston NHS trust, says planned peak for NW is around 23rd/24th, so 10 days to go - he did say that lots of variables could change that, hopefully it will be sooner. 

The signs from Italy and Spain are that the initial descent from peak is quite a lot slower than late ascent, it's dropping by an average of around 2% per day, which is more than twice as slow as the ascent -  Italy are averaging 550 a day,  over a fortnight after the peak.

I know that we aren't going to be exactly the same, probably a bit worse in my opinion,  but what it does tell us is that there were still a lot of people in Italy getting new infections during the early stages of their more stringent lockdown - Italy locked down 36 days ago.

Until we get more analysis, we should assume that some of the new infections during lockdown have been transmitted despite precaution. My advice would be to  be as vigilant as you can at the moment, there will be infected people walking around supermarkets, delivering packages, going to work for the foreseeable future. Breathing in the virus present in the droplets from someone who has breathed, coughed, sneezed is still thought to be the main form of transmission

I've read sweeps testimony, had a mate in his 40's die, and heard 1st hand accounts from 4 healthy mates aged 35-50 who recovered without going to hospital,  but said it was the most ill they've ever been, there were times when they thought they may die, and they're still feeling the effects a few weeks after.

We're also being told that FedEx and DHL won't take anything that weights over 70kg.

One of the above mentioned companies quoted me $3000 this weekend, in order to ship 2 x 11.5Kg boxes from Shenzhen to LHR  -  usually we'd expect that to be around $400   -  the courier game is the one to be in at the minute, there are so few flights, that they can pretty much charge what they want for anything that's priority/urgent

I must admit, I'm still feeling like death, my lung capacity is pathetic, I get out of breath walking the dog, and that's only a loop of around 1.5 miles - we did a 3 mile walk this weekend, it nearly finished me off, and I had to go for a lie down for an hour once we got home.

Mrs Sweep called the Doctors, and they advised that I'll have seriously damaged lungs, with a lot of fluid on them, and it could take weeks possibly months to clear and get "back to normal"  -  there's a cheery thought.

As Peely says, stay safe, wipe everything down, and avoid other people at all costs  - it's a grim thing to have I can tell you

Was the same, about a week after feeling very weak.

 

Back to normal now, I managed a 7 mile the other day, got lost slightly. The immediate days after I struggled to go to the supermarket. 

Keep active but be safe and know your limits.
