I thought this was sorted, or is it a ballache to claim?

Us self employed types can't even put a claim in until some time in June.

We're also being told that FedEx and DHL won't take anything that weights over 70kg.

One of the above mentioned companies quoted me $3000 this weekend, in order to ship 2 x 11.5Kg boxes from Shenzhen to LHR  -  usually we'd expect that to be around $400   -  the courier game is the one to be in at the minute, there are so few flights, that they can pretty much charge what they want for anything that's priority/urgent

It’s a sad state of affairs. We have a fleet of 15 x B777 Freighters that I coordinate the Maintenance for and it’s a nightmare at the moment because DHL and Lufthansa who they operate for just want them in the Air 24/7 due to the demand. Each one can carry 105 tons of Cargo, but at the moment they volume out before the weigh is reached because masks weigh fuck all. We are seeing all sorts of Aircraft turning up that never even visit Europe normally due to the demand. I think part of the additional costs is due to crewing issues as well. The Crews are rostered in pairs now and if one is sick, the other has to stay off, even if it’s something like wankers elbow or whatever. So many crews on hot standby that have to be on full pay. Same in Maintenance for the guys stranded over here. They are also now on standby in case we get more Covid-19 sickness, so they sit in the hotels getting paid whilst waiting for the call to come in. One of my colleagues has worked more than thirty twelve hour shifts in a row. Tax man is going to love him :)As I live here, I just have drive home to Bavaria at the end of my 2 weeks on shift. Drive back up there next Wednesday for another two weeks of chaos.

I thought they sent us a letter telling us what we're getting, as opposed to putting a claim in

Some haven’t been paid out yet, he’s hopeful by end of month

To be fair, it was always going to be 'end of april'

So far, we have paid it

But it means we have suppliers who are having to wait

Our customers are seemingly playing the same game

He was being pushed for the 24th by some guy,

That doesn't help you in the short-term, if you can't claim until June, how long after until they pay out 😏

They/we don't know.

Can't see it being quick. It's a 3-month lump sum, so technically it could be as late as June 30 and still be on time.

Sky news needs to be re-named Sky Negative News, watched the 5pm edition, shocking coverage and the presenters are proper cunts!

Saw some of Sophie Ridge the other day- fuck me it's tedious.

I actually enjoy listening to the likes of Van Tam, Vallance, Whitty- experts and professionals. But I pity them having to put up with some of the inane, repetitive shit.

Some of the top journalists in the country seem surprised that closing everything down and bailing folk out is going to have a negative impact on the economy.

They used 30 minutes asking about it today. Fucking wankstains.

The OBR though

What the fuck

They lay out a prognosis, then when the government release it, its prefaced with, theyre not saying iit will happen, nor is it what they think is most likely to happen

What the fcuk is the point of the OBR report then

Its fucking useless thats what it is

The report published today, was prepared by the obr

They dont even claim it as the most likely outcome

It looks to me like its lots of academics (say no more) seeing how much fun they can have with data and computers

Rishi Sunak has been very impressive.

But

Its a bit like a young footballer making his debut. Fearless, talented, got that glow of greatness.

Be interesting to see how he copes in the cauldron of the commons in a few months. If he can ace that, then he’s a shoe in for leadership.

A lot of people have also survived it, report more on these new nightingale hospitals and how they are helping, numbers could be even higher, i get its not the easiest situation we are in, but lets have some support from our media in what is a global pandemic. It seems they have gone to blaming anbody and everybody and nothing is good enough, like all stories, there are 2 sides, they need to start reporting both.

Aye after 9/11 they should’ve reported how many people got out alive not how many croaked it :)

If you said 900 died today but 10,000 survived , the parks, beaches everywhere else would be full of dickheads thinking it’s not that bad

we need the grim reality to keep folk inside.
