Site Supporter Biggish Dave Posted March 21, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted March 21, 2020 Nipped to Tesco for a few bits for my dinners at 7am, walked the dog and done some gardening. Not touched a drop of booze all weekend, keeping my immune system as high as possible. Tomorrow will be much the same without hitting Tesco. The veggies and plants had better be good this year

I’m pissed of that my wife’s got to go to school to look after key workers kids and without any masks or protection, and kids at 7 are the sweet spot for passing on the infection, this alone is more liable to spread the virus than going for a walk and using sensible distancing. Kane57
We went to Moss Bank Park yesterday to meet up with my parents, had to explain to the kids they couldn't go and give their grandad a hug or anything like that. Enjoyed getting out in the fresh air.

Depends how busy it is. You’d have thought people would have noticed how busy the car park will have been at Rivi/Snowdon/Penny Flash and knocked it on the head in favour of somewhere quieter, but obviously not. I walked up through Moss Bank Park, busy but I walked around the play area. Up through Barrow Bridge. Always kept at least 2 metres distance from passing walkers. They knew and I knew. It was like that all the way over the tops until I got to the lower barn. It was closed but people were having picnics on the tables outside. They may as well have opened the cafe. Again I avoided the busy areas but I’m going to have reconsider my walking route.

Did some work at on the grounds of an industrial unit yesterday. No one about. Opposite there was a footpath that went off into farmers' fields. Not a soul about. OS maps could be the answer. Loads of isolationist walking to be had.
Site Supporter Spider Posted March 22, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted March 22, 2020 As a long time dog owner I know loads of walks that will be deserted. People do need to get out and exercise. It’s important, that. I have noticed that I’m cracking my first drink a bit earlier every day. I doubt I’m alone there.
Jol_BWFC
Went for a walk to the park with my wife and kids yesterday. Didn’t take the little ones into the playground (although there were kids playing in there) - just walked round the paths and took a ball to kick around on the grass. We were staying well away from everyone, but one woman with her dog was just standing there, so we had to walk past her. When she saw us getting close she practically shit (shat?) herself and jumped over a two foot wall into a flower bed. Once we’d gone a few meters past, she clambered back onto the path. Very strange reaction. Maybe she heard the accent.
Escobarp
I see a load of numpties have fires up the camper vans and motor homes and headed to the highlands to isolate. Selfish cunts and basically retarded. A large chunk of our society is showing itself up At the moment. It’s truly embarrassing and the cunts need calling out.
