I see the superbowl the other day was the most viewed thing on telly since the moon landings.

All down to Taylor Swift being there apparently.

If that isn't the saddest indictment of western society then I dont know what is.

Hand Russia the keys now.

Nope. Nowhere near.

Superbowl 120 million.

World Cup final 1.5 billion.

Sad indictment of US society maybe.

All the chiefs games in the post season where the most watched of their kind

Eg most watched divisional play off, most watched championship game and most watched Superbowl

And yes, all because of swift

Not according to statista who have it at 90 odd million from USA and 20-30 million globally

This year's Super Bowl was watched by an average of 123.4 million people in the US, making it the most watched broadcast since the 1969 Moon landing.

The Superbowl is to Americans what FA Cup Final day used to be for us ... except we just used to sit there and watch it, unlike those fat fucks who spend all day eating whilst doing it.  Fair play to them though, it's their thing.

I just don't understand British folk who get excited by it, nor do I understand how/why British folk 'pick' a team to support.  It's weird.

It's like something @tomskidoes.

Correct, but not massively up on last year's previous record Super Bowl viewing figures. It goes up most years and there was more to it than Ms Swift.

Think more people attended our JPT glory than the American rugby final

Why is everybody pretending they like American Football all of a sudden?

It's as cringey as someone from the US supporting Wrexham

I'll let you off if you were born over there or live in the US and have adopted a team. The rest of you can get fucked! 😁

A friend of mine loves it and he now lives in KC. He was at the parade with the shootings and posted on Facebook just minutes before. Luckily they left before.
I’ve never taken to myself.

What do you reckon; drugs, alcohol, or diminished responsibility?

Or any combination.

If you told me that story without mentioning where it was, I'd never believe it

Then you said 'In America' then all of a sudden I'd change my mind and it wouldn't surprise me

I reckon a combination of one and two on that list would be high up on my guesses
