I wouldn't say I'm a antimasker, it just doesn't make sense? Why can I go into a packed out bar/Christmas do this weekend but I need put one on for nipping in asda or tesco? I don't get it.

Because there will be people who are going into the supermarket who AREN'T going into packed out bars.

You'll have some people going into the supermarket and that will be pretty much their only trip out of the house for the week.

Piss off you. I plan on being completely and utterly shit faced 😊

Haha I didn’t mean that, they’re obviously expecting a Spike in cases now though

So old people then? What about when they go bingo?

Ha, don't you start going down the whataboutery path. I think you know my point is a valid one.

If I've had covid and recovered do I have to wear a mask or can I go about life with an air of superior invincibility only the triple jabbed can previously enjoy?

Ah right.

Did they pass this law before or after the jolly boys slap up meal?

They're all cunts. Law change needed or not.

Just a point, there was never, in the last 20 months, a requirement to wear a mask whilst eating a meal. I know they aren’t usually medical-grade masks and will let certain size particles in or out but a beef dinner with Yorkshires isn’t small enough to get through. Find a photo of them walking into the dining area without masks and then let’s all get jointly upset about things we have no control over.

Sounds like an excuse rather than genuine safety concerns.

Bunch of fannies.

I don't think it's an excuse, as they'd put loads of planning into it. I wasn't going anyway, as I'm supposed to be in Poland for a few days (we'll see if that happens)

Hopefully this new variant isn't too bad, and we can get back to normal this side of Christmas.......

As for wearing masks in shops, it's really not that much of a hassle, I can't see why folk won't do it

Not if you've got the entire top of your head covered in tinfoil

Even then there’s no requirement for them to be worn (or am I wrong?)

SOme of you would have been a fucking massive help in the trenches.

"I'm not wearing that helmet, my head has never been struck by a bullet yet so why the fuck should I bother?"

I'd have sent the anti-vax/anti-mask fuckers over the top in a pair of high viz swimming trunks armed with a Nerf gun and a bullseye painted on their chests.

Don't want to?

No. You are not allowed choice. You've got to have unwavering dedication to our great leader.

No matter how ridiculous the rules or how hypocritical those who impose them are at actually following them.

All hail chairman Johnson

We're now being told by the health chief "don't socialise before Christmas unless you need to"...

Just bring this one back up.

Or, alternatively a bit of cloth might just help old Ethal see out this winter.

Don't see the issue myself.

I hope they keep these mask rules every winter on the tube. It's a joy not to be coughed and sneezed on as you crush yourself onto the Victoria line of a morning.

Personally I have no idea why folk wouldn't want to to even protect someone else, even if it helps a bit.

I'm not. I just won't be wearing a mask in a supermarket. I shan't be crying all over twitter about it.

I get what you mean tbh I hate the fuckers last year I felt shitty wearing them constantly bunged up sore nose etc I just try and avoid situations where I have to put one on.

I will wear my mask when I'm at work in close proximity to vulnerable patients in their houses. Not in Tesco to get a loaf and my value chicken nuggets. I'm nowhere near anyone so Ethel will be safe. Unlike Saturday where I will be grinding 'owd fellas for a free drink 👍
