Yes - basically Europe and it's leaders are the root of all evil and are hell bent on leading us all into WW3 (presumably for not allowing Russia to just waltz in and take Ukraine in its entirety. And it would seem that Donald Trump is slowly moving towards that way of thinking himself given his recent proclamations. 

He goes onto say that Europe will descend into individual member states who fight amongst each other and revert to expansionism and colonialism (which is an odd take for a country who have just invaded Ukraine).

The US have taken the coward's way out by the looks of things. Either that or they are just hopelessly inept or both. 

Trump wants peace at any cost for his Nobel Peace Prize - and doesn't give a shit if that means he has to sell out Ukraine or sign a deal which is basically a huge capitulation and means we end up having to fight a hot war with (a much stronger) Russia in 10 to 20 years. By which point he'll be dead and history will view him as an even bigger appeasement monkey than Neville Chamberlain. 

Anyone who has the gall to look at themselves in the mirror and call themselves a 'patriot' while supporting this utter fuckwit is either too thick to really see what's going on, is a closet authoritarian (I think there's at least a few of these on here) - or just hasn't really been following the news (apart from the headlines). 

The details coming out over the past couple of weeks pretty much rip up and 80 year old world order. And Britain is going to slide waaaaaaaay down the rankings in very short order without some huge turn of events. 

The best we can hope for is that Trump becomes a lame duck president in the not too distant future and we don't end up with someone like Pete Hesgeth in next (although that's unlikely seen as he's just been publicly called out for  committing war crimes). 

Not that many people seem to care about shit like that anymore mind!

European is great for the golf, and useful as a collective for security.

At least that is how it should be, but sadly, the disagreement and lack of will between nations isn't exactly helping with regards to security. 

That's undoubtedly why we've signed mutual defence agreements with various European nations, and weapons agreements too, but as partnerships or small groups, and not a European collective. 

By extension, that could also apply to NATO, as Trump isn't exactly filling others with confidence if article 5 was enacted.

 

I wouldn't trust Trump as far as I could through him in the event that article 5 was evoked. 

Until they get a new administration in we need to be looking to other partners. And even then - he might have dismantled US infrastructure so significantly by that point that it will take them years to recover.

And what's hapoening with these Epstein files? That seems to have dropped off the radar too?

This recent National Security Strategy theyve farted out that goes on about Europe facing "Civilisational Erasure"(?!) and that Russia has conveniently thrown their support behind, doesnt make for happy reading either.

Epstein files must have been filed away with that immiment lawsuit against the BBC

Substitute "Baltic, Black Sea and Eastern European States" for "Europe".

They have grown up being subsidised within a Soviet Empire and now they have their independence they are demonstrating their inability to exist without "freeloading" from another bloc.

Mr Z kept saying "we are fighting your war"... not for me pal, I don't particularly like you easterly lot (including Putin) but I will tolerate you and do business.

Regarding being European, I'll admit to having commonality with French, Germans, Dutch etc. but I have little in common with the other earthlings from east of Austria including the Balkans. As I have said previously those regions have spawned many major wars and any conflicts need to be contained.

He's not got a criminal conviction, but he was found liable for sexual abuse by a civil jury. 

He does have a criminal conviction for falsifying business records though (30+ of them
