Oh and fcuk knows what folk see alnwick doing wrong

Alnwick could and should have cost us 2 goals on. Was caught in no mans land from a corner and spilled a fairly low routine cross.

We got away with it and he did nowt wrong for the last hour of the game

Alnwick got better as the game went on but we could of been 2 nil down and out of the game because of him.

Their keeper Maxwell oozed confidence collected everything and he looked unflappable, maybe we didn't pressure him enough?

Gavin ward would have caught our crosses last night

At one stage we won a free kick roughly 50 yards out.

Wheater took and just launched it to the goalkeeper.

Absolutely no where near our players.

Why has Wheater suddenly become the man to take those free kicks? He’s shit at it and should be in there most of the time.

Had to laugh at the one second half. 30 yards out, prime Ameobi territory and you could see they’d been working on it on the training ground for a fortnight to create some elaborate diversion that ends up with Wheater twatting the ball halfway to Chorley.

Thought Armstrong had a better game but he's a million miles behind Will Buckley, let's hope we see a lot more of him on the left and Sammi on the right.

Thought Buckley looked slow when he came on.

Didn’t look comfortable when he had the ball near the touch line.

Although in his defence I think he managed one lofted ball to the back post which we got we got a corner from.

Armstrong looked dangerous in parts and has the ability to go past players.

Unfortunately he generally only has opportunity to do this in our own half.

I thought we started off as badly as we did in any of the games when we were getting clobbered every week & if Preston had scored it could have been 4 or 5.

We did improve a bit, but simple passes were fucked up & people miscontrolled the ball which kept losing possession in our own half, added to the hopeless delivery of set pieces made it a poor performance. We got away with it because Preston missed their chances but play like this at Wolves & we'll get murdered.

Small plus was that we did get a bit better & big plus was that we picked up another vital point.

MOM Alnwick ...not for any big saves but for looking safe &  several good catches to relieve the pressure.

Won't be long before he ousts Armstrong he's level above him, he created more in the 20 minutes he was on the pitch, mind you that's not difficult given Armstrong creates nothing.

He scored in last game and created the only chance their keeper saved last night. But apart from that.....

I think Armstrong has thankless task. He's often stuck out wide with the ball and 3 men to beat before he can even get the ball over to Madine who is generally marking the centre half.

Sound like his pimp, but surely it's worth a bash with him feeding Alf. Alf would offer more movement.

Folk say we play long ball so wouldn't work, but I didn't see many hoofs to Madine last night. They all go out wide to AA and sammi where the ball rightly sticks. Surely a more mobile centre forward in Alf would benefit from them coming inside?

Instead they have to wing in a cross that Madine gets nowhere near.

Ameobi was the stand out player again last night without being at his best, Armstrong tried to take the game to them but with Vela way off the pace & Madine having zero movement he had little help. Thought Little had a good game & Robinson in patches but was reckless with the ball around our box at times.

My biggest worry is we are relying on flashes of individual skill to open teams up as we seem to have no great pattern of play & our passing is Sunday league standard most of the time.

I just hope we can keep grinding out results but if we lose Sammy Ammy for any length of time I really fear for us
