  1. Didn’t think it needed saying, but for the hard of thinking - if you don’t like what you are seeing and/or hearing at Glastonbury, just turn your telly over or go out for a walk. Nobody, and I mean absolutely fucking nay cunt, is forcing you to watch Bob Vylan. Carry on
  2. If you want to see irony at its finest then I give you Glastonbury 2025. A festival so "free-spirited" it’s surrounded by a 13ft fence, armed security, ID checks, and its own holding pen for border breaches. All run by the very people who tell the rest of us "borders are racist." Pay £380-a-head tickets for the privileged few to play revolution, sipping oat lattes in £1,000 bell tents while chanting "From the river to the sea"—a call for Jewish genocide—and calling anyone who questions them a Nazi. The same crowd cheering Hamas, who invaded Israel on 7/10, murdering over a thousand civilians—many of them peace-loving communists in kibbutzim, and young people at a music festival, just like this one. These self-proclaimed pacifists cheer for religious fascists who literally dragged women through the streets and beheaded civilians. But sure, let’s hold hands and blame “colonialism.” They claim to be anti-capitalist, while spending £millions to throw a week-long rave on farmland. They produce over 2,000 tonnes of waste—the equivalent of 250 double-decker buses of garbage—then wave Extinction Rebellion flags and tell working-class Brits to give up meat and heating. They scream “Down with the patriarchy!” while defending the most misogynistic religion on Earth, where women can’t vote, drive, or leave the house without permission—and that's before we get to the stoning and FGM. They demand veganism, while celebrating halal slaughter. They wave Pride flags, then shout “Inshallah”, defending regimes where gay men are hanged, lesbians are raped, and trans people disappear. They’re the first to cry “Nazi” at anyone with a different opinion, but not one of them has marched for the slaughtered Christians of Nigeria, the persecuted women of Iran, the oppressed minorities of Syria, or the ethnic cleansing in Armenia. Their “tolerance” only extends to those who agree with them. Their “compassion” ends where their values begin. It’s a delusional playground for champagne socialists, fuelled by ignorance, narcissism, and biodegradable glitter. Just sing your silly little songs, zip up your designer tents, and fuck off home. You’re not warriors. You’re tourists.
  3. Thats probably one of the most ridiculous sentences I ever hear mentioned 😂
  4. Some of you are a tougher wank than others, but I’ve managed one for each of you. x
  5. Reported. Hopefully, a lengthy ban is coming your way
  6. Nothing like a holocaust and genocide chat on a Monday morning to brighten the mood
  7. I've met @Not in Crawley @Tonge moor green jacket @Spider @bolty58 @BobyBrno @barryk32 and probably one or two others without realising. And two a man they've all been absolutely superb. I tell you now - if the shit ever hit the fan - any of the above would have your back - no matter what kind of daft argument you might have with them previously on a football forum. We bicker a lot - but that's what mates do. And let's face it - I talk to you lot much more than I do with my real life friends. Genuinely there not one person on here that I don't like - or wouldn't love to have a drink with in real life 👍

Which 7/8 players........Heres a few Adeboyejo, Toal, Forester, ,Jones, Dempsey, Morley, Matete, Sheehan and Schon Theres nine that were out injured most of the back end of the season I never said it would take three years i said it wont be done in this window.
  9. Large proportion of the day wasted whilst waiting for someone who can't now make it! Will now have to fuck off out and do some twatting bastard work whilst it's at its hottest. Was hoping to have a bbq. So no, everyone can fuck off! 😁
  10. I also find it a bit weird that people are seemingly more outraged by these chants than by the tens of thousands of dead Palestinian children. You might need to re-evaluate your life choices if you did yourself in that group.

Totally respect that way of thinking but I disagree. Charlton finished 16th the season before last. Derby finished outside the playoffs the season before beating us to autos. Leyton Orient & Wycombe I think finished 11th and 10th respectively the season before last, both finished last season in the top 6, both much smaller clubs than ourselves. We finished 8th (and that’s with no proper striker for what seemed like half a season and a historically poor season defensively) so for me playoffs is the absolute minimum I expect this season. Anything less than 6th would be a really poor showing from everyone involved in my opinion.
  12. That greasy Mongy Craig bloke is testament to that. Wanderer or not, he's far from sound
  13. I think it's just a sign of our current times. Everything is division, there is no room for nuance. You are either for or against. You can't be sympathetic to the plight of Gazans without being an anti semite, you can't acknowledge the need for immigration but also understand there is an issue in terms of numbers in certain places, you can't acknowledge a political success if it's from a party that is against the one you've already stuck your flag in and on and on and on, and it's worse because this is being leveraged daily by political leaders. Division is better for some than coherence. It's only a social media site, it just reflects. Personally I only know one person on here. Everyone else is an avatar pretty much, aside from that one poster i wouldnt have the first clue really about who anyone else is.

Interesting to contrast our transfer strategy with our three nearest and dearest neighbours. We are out there clearly trying to sign players whose age is such that their value has a chance of rising in coming years. The closest to us just now seems to be Stockport. However they have only made two such signings and lost quite a few of their main squad from last season. So they are wheeling and dealing like us with some action undoubtedly still to come Blackpool meanwhile are right in at the experienced end of the market signing five players in their later 20s/early 30s, all bar one of whom have been on free transfers. They may well prove solid stuff for next season including a centre half from Stockport as per above. Meanwhile the pie pests have signed three strikers who do not have any record of goalscoring at League 1 level - not even Mullin who they have on loan. In terms of immediate impact/solidity for next year you might be happiest so far if you're Blackpool. But signing a bunch of experienced free transfers (Ennis excepted, he cost a fee) is something that rarely works out how you think it will.
  15. Current front page of BBC news website. What a world
  16. might start a thread where were all sickeningly pleasant to each other! 😂 I used to work with a woman that was permanently like that, saw the positives in everything and was so overly nice all the time it was sickening, i used to say that if you booted her in the C*** she would say you had nice shoes on. Can't trust people like that.
  17. Can't even sing about beating your wife anymore. Snowflakes.

If we're still in L1 in two years time Schumacher won't be here. And neither will Fergal most likely.
  19. Nope. I doubt the Gaza stuff on here is generational. Anyone and everyone in their right mind condemns the holocaust. You may be right about factions of republicans/Palestinians supporting Hitler - I don’t know. But imho those folk would indeed not be in their right mind. The difference on here I think is pretty obvious. Aside from one or two folk, your good self included, the vast majority see the wickedness of the IDF in killing/starving Palestinian civilians for no reason whatsoever. As per above they have the technology/intelligence to be much more surgical on eradicating Hamas if the so chose (which would be welcome). Different opinions are fine of course, so we can all agree to differ, but please don’t suggest I view the holocaust as anything less than the pure evil it was, just because I’m highly critical of the current Israeli actions.
  20. The Nazi holocaust wont justify killing tens of thousands of Palestinian civilians 80 years later. I don't see the link between German ideological racism and Palestinians fighting against occupation. If Israel end up with a moderate government, there will be room for negotiation and relative peace in the future. That wasn't on the table with the Nazis.
  21. I would say the vast majority just want to enjoy the music and get off their tits.

Don't grow up. You are correct. Diversity and inclusion quota bollocks innit.
  23. I don't think what Bob Vylan said was disgusting and I don't particularly care what they think, it's what artists do, so what I think what the IDF are doing is disgusting Same folk got upset when Stormzy spoke up for Grenfell victims at the Brits
  24. Is there any reason we can’t all agree Hamas are cunts, the IDF tactics in Gaza are horrific and wrong, Kneecap and Bob Vylan should be investigated by the police (and punished accordingly), those pricks who admitted vandalising the plane at Brize Norton should be locked up, that all grooming gangs should be marched into a volcano and that James McClean is an odious wanker? It doesn’t make you a pro-Palestinian anti-Semite leftie or a right-wing thicko racist or Roy Walker to say what you see.
  25. It's whats behind the hatred that matters. Ideological racism doesn't bend, hate because of occupation and perceived inequality does when negotiations begin. You can't negotiate someone's ideology. Palestinians don't have an issue with Jewishness, they'd hate them just as much if they were Hindus.
  26. Always funny when TMJ reads some shite with no context in the Mail, then sees it torn apart on here.
  27. No he's not. he still retains control of the Farm, a 5th of it has been split between his children, so there is no attempt (yet) to mitigate the potential tax implications - the farm is valued at nearly £15M 😬 He has, however, transferred control of the Festival over to his daughter (1/4) and a family trust (3/4) - most profits, allegedly, are sent to Oxfam, Greenpeace & Wateraid each year. No doubt the Government will lose out on some money as a result of this....as ever, those with a lot of wealth, will always find a way to not have to pay tax (if they can help it)
  28. defo copy and pastes churchill quotes to facebook on st georges day and remembrance sunday
  29. Copy and pasted from Facebook, no doubt.
  30. Israeli intelligence agencies can infiltrate Iran, simultaneously assassinate multiple military leaders and scientists in their homes, but have to kill thousands of children and starve hundreds of thousands as justified collateral damage to get to enemies in a land they occupy. Doesn't wash im afraid
  31. As above, LW once again sees the law as to be used to fit his narrative only. There must be some scope to allow musical freedom, and it isn't for the state to shut down all controversy. On the otherhand, where is the line drawn? Lucy Connelly broke the law so received a punishment. Delving into her case, the level of punishment is truly ridiculous, especially considering her personal circumstances; ptsd following her own child's death. Then continued deprivations whilst inside. Kneecap member currently on charge, yet the band is still invited to play, and their comments are without doubt far worse. You seem to be suggesting some sort of acceptance because of their "balanced" lyrics as they have a go at both parties: they're simply anti British. Laws can always be modified according to need, but if they are, then they can't differentiate between those who cross the line. Taking the whole thing into the round, the irony of the festival is stark. A section of attendees with an anti-capitalist, "eat the rich" set of beliefs, which is fair enough, yet they do so on land belonging to a family who are actually coining it in on the backs of these people. Moreover, Mr Eavis has apparently now given the farm to his daughter, so as to avoid the government's new inheritance tax.

I'm intrigued. If you have read many of the posts on here re football presenters, you'll have seen many (often over the top) comments slagging off male presenters. Don't think a single one has been without some criticism. Meanwhile, there have been some positive ones about the odd female presenter, as well as criticism. The insecurity surely comes from people that aren't willing to treat women as equals and criticise/complement accordingly, instead criticising those that do. Scared of being labelled as sexist? There are without doubt examples of tokenism, completely unnecessary, which harms opportunity for genuine talent Same as the racist comments etc.
  33. There’s another festival/Carnival in a couple of months that goes by the name of Notting Hill. No doubt there will be dozens of stabbings, rapes, sexual assaults, attacks on emergency workers and possibly murders amongst other crimes. I guarantee we will have a particular group on here saying “these things happen at carnivals” “you don’t see calls for football matches to be cancelled” and other equally stupid defensive posts.
  34. That would be my first visit to a theatre other than for mechanical maintenance reasons since "Bolton Wanderers - A Musical Documentary" at the Octagon in the 70's. I don't like encouraging these arty types.
  35. Same mate. I honestly haven't moved all weekend It's definitely being ticked off in 2027 I'm even considering going alone, think I'll prefer it. Just do what I want then
  36. Read today somewhere, and I paraphrase, and it's probably over simplistic, but if you're more concerned about the way somebody expresses their disapproval to a genocide rather than the actual genocide then that's pretty fucked up.
  37. I'll reply. The wokey types are always wanking on about 'hurty words' as you put it. Until of course it suits their purposes not to. What is happening in Gaza is a response decades of attacks, hate, threats of genocide etc. all culminating in October 7th. Can't and won't be allowed to happen again. If the perpetrators choose to hide behind the weak, infirm, young or hospitalised then regrettable results (calculated to provide propaganda) will be inevitable. These terrorist supporting cunts at Glastonbury did their thing in the UK. No explanation of why this is an outrage should be required after that one sentence. The fucking book should be thrown at them. If that puts me in a particular group in your eyes then so be it.
  38. Glastonbury is fabulous. Makes suffering a shit, long miserable winter worth it. It always lifts my spirits.
  39. What Bob Vylan said is disgusting, but these things are bound to happen when children are being mass-murdered by one of our allies.
  40. Course you do. 'Ten Tier Kier' 'Multi Tier' You're coming out with some absolute belters today. As if this is somehow Kier Starmer's fault. It is absolutely up to venues and (to an extent) local authorities to prevent these events. Transmit did exactly that for Kneecap. But many venues will host them and that is their right as well. Whether you or I think it is a 'call to murder' is irrelevant. It would still be open to interpretation in court. People have called for death to occupying forces throughout history. South Africans during apartheid; the Irish fighting for independence did during the early 20th century; those fighting the Nazis did. Even the Ukrainians will have been calling for death to Russian military. This is a military organisation denying a nation of its sovereignty; blocking civilian aid and ethnically cleansing an entire population. Rightly or wrongly, folk will say nasty things about them and will defend their right to do so - good look arguing otherwise in a court of law against BV and a few hundred festival attendees. And good look getting them all arrested Comment of the day that last one pal.
  41. It reminds me of the place in Edinburgh that booked Jerry Sadowitz for a show during fringe, then got the hump and stopped any more shows there when he did a typical Jerry Sadowitz show and all that entails. You book an artist known to provoke controversy don't act all surprised and outraged when said controversy happens.
  42. I think the intent is to increase download revenue. NWA 1988: Beat a police outta shape And when I'm finished, bring the yellow tape To tape off the scene of the slaughter Ice Cube will swarm On any motherfucker in a blue uniform Just 'cause I'm from the CPT, punk police are afraid of me A young nigga on a warpath And when I'm finished, it's gonna be a bloodbath Of cops, dyin' in L.A. Ice Cube's net worth is estimated to be $160 million
  43. Attempting to censor/criminalise artists/music rarely ends well lol They're a punk band. Probably loving all the hysterics and attention. Just don't platform them in the first place.
  44. The reason he's said it is he says it at all his shows. This isn't the first time he's got into bother over what he says, just it was on the Beeb this time so the snowflakes got offended.
  45. People saying if we have ambition we need to pay the money for the Celtic lad are the same people who moan about the money we wasted on Randel.
