Backs against the wall last twenty minutes but we didn’t fold completely.Toal & Johnstone have upped their game considerably. Conway had a poor game & Cogley needs replacing in the window as Christie won’t be fit enough to play every game. Can’t understand why we didn’t combat the diagonal ball that exposed Cogley time & time again.ie one on one against a guy that skinned him. Tutu had a decent game & has quality when he wants to use it. Morley disappointed again giving the ball away with careless flicks & inaccurate passing. Symonds was good & harshly sent off for two decent tackles that another referee might not have given even fouls for.ACD marked to the hilt on a tight pitch As soon as the match turned into a physical battle which largely bypassed midfield we lost control but got to give the other team credit for working out our weaknesses. Good point .Performances like that are a necessary part of a promotion campaign.4 likes

On what planet do people think we were just going to steamroller a very good Luton team away from home? At the end of the season we will look back at this as a great result.4 likes

And people are focusing on them because they are being allowed unvetted, are taking up millions of tax payers money and all this while this country is going to the dogs. Some people think they are the whole problem, some people think they aren't a problem at all......the majority feel they shouldn't be a problem at all because they shouldn't be here. They don't see families of these 'immigrants ' walking amongst them every day, they see young fighting age men who whether they meant be or not are intimidating when hanging around in groups. Serious question......when fleeing their own countries why do they seem to flee alone? Their treatment here compared to the Windrush generation who came here to work and be proud members of our community is staggering.........if unfortunately unsurprising .3 likes

Way too much negativity in here tonight. Off to a Blackpool forum to cheer myself up.3 likes

Playing Cogley is like giving them an extra player, genuinely shocking, got turned inside out, nearly sent off himself and then made an awful pass leading to Simons getting red carded.3 likes

My mum clung on to working and so did my Dad. My Mum died within in the first year of retirement and they never got to spend any proper time together. They'd sold their Static and were planning to go on holidays half the year. Those extra few years on the graft deffo spazzed my dad's back up. Don't leave it too late folks. No point building your pension up if you can't spend the fucker.3 likes

But back to the 'immigrants ', they are no such thing, they are economic migrants who have passed through places of safety because they will get far more given to them here here than anywhere else .2 likes

We’re 3 points off automatic promotion, and that’s Stevenage who will drop away in the new year (if not before). We’ve caught up. It’s a shit league, it’s an even league, the whole 2ppg thing is almost irrelevant if nobody else is. Fact of the matter is that after a start that has hardly been anything special, we’re 1 result away from our aim for the season.2 likes

It's probably not helped by the reluctance to address the grooming gangs scandal......and who knows how many unvetted young men wandering around communities who may or may not feel their attitude to young women and often children is going to cause concerns.2 likes

The vast majority aren't. But many go on to do so. Nobody is only ever focusing on migrants. It's just a massive concern that people have every right to focus on. You speak like all other cases are being ignored. Whats problem are we combating? You're in the territory of lumping all sexual assaults together as one big problem, that'll do more damage than good. That's head in the sand tackle. Who are these 'some'? Sounds like your playing it down to me.2 likes

So Simons gets sent off (stupid tackle if you're on a yellow, regardless whether either of them were actually yellows) and your focus is on both other CM's? One of who scored our goal? Make it make sense at least? Just admit that Simons stupidity probably cost us the game and move on 🤣2 likes

I learned a long time ago. Music snobbery is the worst kind of snobbery. Enjoy whatever you like. As long as it’s Soul! Keep the Faith! 😉2 likes

Why are we miles off it after drawing with 10 men away? We’re hardly detached. The sides above us don’t look better than us. And the Championship comparison is utter nonsense. But I suspect you know that, hence you questioning your own bizarre question.2 likes

We drew despite being massively under pressure for large swathes of the game and were down to ten men for the final 3rd. That's all the positives you need.2 likes

On its own merits going there and getting a point is decent. Would have been even better if we had won last weekend. Overall though there is no question it is our away record that is the difference between 6th and top 2. The sooner we start picking more wins up away the better.2 likes

Refs are a fucking joke at this level. Neither was a booking for me on Simons. Got the ball both times. And cogley got fouled for their goal. But it's a good point.2 likes

No restrictions for the cup game the other season, decent enough boozers. You’re not allowed to eat bacon butties on the walk to the ground, though.2 likes

Done quite a bit. Biggest was in front of 1,400 but I'd done enough by then to have lost the fear and feed off the adrenaline. Favourite memories of doing presentations all in the US. Redneck types and their questions. Presented so many opportunities for a cutting response2 likes

Understandable - I’m still not 100% certain of where we sit in the pecking order this season despite watching every game, as we do some things well and others not so much. Bigger test than most today and I’m praying we play well and win it and start moving up the away form table. It would be nice if Barnsley and Stockport cancel each other out in the early game too, just to set the mood for a good win. COYFWM1 like

Haha my best mate from uni rang me up shortly after we’d left to say that he’d got a job and was moving from Brum to Rhodes and did I fancy calling round to see him. We had a very short chat about the cost of flights….. . He never did let me forget about that….1 like

Was faced with a big decision this year. Company restructure announced in June. Division I was in was being dissolved. Choice I was given was apply for a similar job in another team or take an extremely generous package. 61 years old it was tempting but took the job End of the day I enjoy working. Much as I bitch and moan about life travelling on the motorways of the UK I love being out and about. I’m never in the same place for more than 3 days. Can’t imagine being at home every day trying to think what to do. Guess it will change one day perhaps My dad took a redundancy at 62 and packed in. A year later he was back working part time for a few years as he was bored. Think I’m like him1 like

Weird isn't it? I could get up and do a karaoke Infront of total strangers but ask me to order a pizza on the telephone or get something from the ham counter in Morrisons and i couldn't do it.1 like

My brother does that as well as teaching. Loves it. Public speaking is an art form and skill in itself. I honestly could not think of anything worse. I get anxious if there's 3 people in the butty shop and they'll hear me order1 like

I turned 60 in August. Retired at 57. 99% of work stuff I do not miss, a little bit of the banter but far out weighed by the bullshit and early mornings. I get up when I want. Walk the dog. Other than that I choose what to do every day (or the missus does). We spend a lot of time together but we also have our own interests that we do separately. I put a bit more effort into being in touch with mates from school, Uni etc Some days I choose to do fuck all others I will plan something. For all the advice you can get imo the biggest thing is being happy with yourself and your own company. We had a death in the family and I promised him I would get a check up at doctors, no real issues but losing some weight would help so have about a stone and half. (Although after a week away let’s see on Sunday) I am very lucky that I do not need to work Not sure it is that different, what Dimron is talking about doing is stuff that will boost all the good stuff that helps your body and your mind and it becomes a virtuous circle. The downside is the opposite can apply and it is hard to break out of the downward cycle. My biggest boost is currently away days as we have such a good laugh. Social Media especially Twitter was the opposite so I chose to come off it. I started this thead off about age and being boring but the reality is that if @miami organised another sportsman’s doubt I would jumping on a street cleaning van at 7 the next morning to go the pub. But watching ACD slot a winner at Huddersfield with my mate and our combined 3 kids is just as memorable.1 like
