  1. They're terrible winners and terrible losers Argentina.
  2. Why doesn't the Spain manager take his wingers off now and put two centre backs on? Go flat back 10.
  3. He's going down the route of we aren't as good as other nations now. Really pisses me off that narrative. Two euro finals and two world cup semis says we are bang in the mixer with the world's elite. We need to start believing how good we actually are. That mentality lost the game the other night. Played like a bunch of no mark league 1 benders who should just be happy to be there. Pathetic.
  4. 3rd place is still 3rd place like but he's gone one better than Southgate (and Robson) yet still not won anything he now needs to go one better in the Euros
  5. just ban the fucker and do us all a favour
  6. Up until now, ive left you to Zico Now that youve decided to start with somebody as inoffensive as @RoadRunnerFan its up a level Stop being a cock, or its curtains Wways doesnt need you as much as you need Wways Think on, cos therell be no more softly softly warnings Enjoy your evening
  7. Cannot fucking believe we did what we did against that team...
  8. Thats a perfectly good goal
  9. can't believe TT bottled that game they're fucking shite the argies probably end up scabbing this
  10. With multiple world cups to their names? 13 between them, each having won one of the last 6. They are obviously all in a worse place than us at this point in time, but when they were in their good points - they won it. Not bad shoes to be fair to them. I agree with @gonzo, that team is as good as we think it is. Is the defence a bit weak - yes, but Iโ€™m also watching Porro, MacAlister and fucking Romero in a World Cup final. No team is perfect 1-11. Our team from midfield onwards is as good as it gets and even the defence still includes 3 City players (and a Chelsea player when he can stay fit). Our problem now is that we have no striker coming through when Kane winds down. Bellingham et al should get better for the next one, but the difference having a world class striker makes is huge, and this is likely the last one weโ€™ll have it for. Tuchel blew our best shot by turning us into a L1 team playing city in a cup game once we went ahead, it really is as simple as that.
  11. As much as Tuchel got it wrong on Wednesday, I still don't know what our many defenders were doing for their winning goal No way should a 5'9 striker be getting on the end of that cross Also, as past it as De Paul might be, his deliveries into our penalty area were miles better than ours
  12. Good examples and they were all terrible. But they were games we never had control of, whereas Tuchel had the game and actively threw it away with his in game management. Maybe in game management is what it's the worst example of really. As he deserves some credit for setting up the team well initially.
  13. Better than Gazza ever was
  14. Can't argue with any of that.

  16. After what we heard at half time, you canโ€™t be anything but really happy for the players after that. Itโ€™s a small consolation, but one which can put a few smiles back on their faces. Glad I stayed up to watch that, brilliant game.
  17. Should be reducing it to 0.0%.
  18. My missus hates football but she was going mad at the Argies and jumped up cheering at final whistle.
  19. Argentina were absolute dog shit. I'm so glad they lost
  20. Horrible twats. Fuck them.
  21. Suck on that you cheating Argie cunts. And youโ€™ve not got the Falklands either.
  22. At least that cancer has been purged now.
  23. Argentina proving what hateful cunts they are at the final whistle.
  24. no foul anywhere to be seen
  25. Donโ€™t think you can blame Spain for this one though.
  26. This really was our chance wasnt it.
  27. Ally McCoist said heโ€™d been permanently scarred ๐Ÿ˜‚
  28. On reflection I agree McAtee isn't as likely to stay as the likes of RR, Dalby, Forino, Sheehan, of course they are nailed on to be a big part of the first team week in week out. But the next level down - Gale, Simons, EE, Christie are all players that are replaceable should we get signings in. Currently they are all needed because we are generally short on numbers and that includes McAtee's position. Who knows what will happen, but as you say he was selected in the squad 23 times last season, despite injury and suspension, and he came on in most games, so SS does rate him even if that's only at L1 level. We have no idea who he rates to make the step up to the championship yet but I suspect he would upgrade as many as he can and McAtee is just one of those.
  29. hahahaha well said wayne rooney
  30. Every bit of me that can feel pain is feeling it
  31. Another assault on football heritage
  32. I know, I was being a bit facetious. Although like @Greg_BWFC says, I do think it probably increases the anger towards Tuchel because this does feel like weโ€™re peaking when plenty others are at the bottom of their cycle and so it really feels like a wasted opportunity.
  33. Pure cringe all of it. Shouldn't be playing a world cup final in the daytime either
  34. Only kids can get away with full kitting it IMO. I quite like the kit but I am not sure I suit a footy top these days ๐Ÿคฃ
  35. Tuchel isn't to blame for us not winning the world cup. But christ he could have made the job a lot easier than he did. He sacrificed us like a set of weak lambs. He picked a sqaud loaded with counter attacking direct wingers, left any ball retainers at home. That was suicide from the offset. Dunno why we have to have to this root and branch dissection and analysis just because we lost a semi final. English football isn't broken. We have amazing talent and players. Our manager picked the wrong squad and surrendered a semi final with his decisions. Get those decisions right and who knows what could've happened. We will never know though because he didn't. He fucked it. Then blamed everyone else.
  36. Maybe that's why the other side is also trying to 'find' religion?
  37. Nothing dramatic about it. Just a rational comment I can't think of a worse performance, can you?
  38. On a sidenote it's a bit mad that the goals scored in a exhibition game between 2 knocked out semi finalists are equal to those who score in a final with regards to the golden boot
  39. The problem is what Tuchel did against Argentina was the worst managerial performance I can remember. If we look at the tournament as a whole it's an all round poor performance, where we seem to have regressed if anything. The third place glosses over that we had a very favourable draw and only just scraped past poor teams, probably should have lost to Norway, then lost to the first decent team we played. I just can't see how you build a case that we're closer to actually winning something under Tuchel and the style of football wasn't enjoyable to watch.
  40. I don't know If we're going so far as to credit the players for how they handled yesterday and performed I don't think it makes sense to decide not to draw anything from their inability to deal with the pressure they were under when it finally arrived I think if there's any part of the match that was worth paying attention to it, it was that
  41. See, this is exactly the kind of thing we need to avoid for me France were practically playing walking football in the first half and - as the second half showed - when they could be arsed, it was like a knife through butter The caveat I suppose is that it wasn't our full strength team but I didn't really see anything to change my opinion that when the pressure's on against the very best, we're still a way off
  42. It was more like Soccer Aid than the World Cup. We could have bought Andi Peters, Paddy McGuiness and that bloke from Kasabian on.
  43. Like @Johnnyrotten alludes to above, there is no comparison between tonightโ€™s game and Wednesdays, impossible to compare.
