Might be an idea to let's just watch a football match without all this attention seeking bumcbuffery.32 likes

My youngest is 6, it was his first night game and he was bouncing. He's got his first season ticket next year. All I heard last night was 'Cosgrove is a knobhead'. š My eldest his had a season ticket for a few years, he is autistic but loves coming to the match. He cried when Collins equalised, just sheer emotion, that's the experience you only got following a team. Can't wait to take them both next weekend, first trip to Wembley for them, I just hope we get over the line and they get to experience what we did last April.18 likes

When we scored the 3rd at Barnsley it was absolute mayhem, people falling all over seats, euphoria everywhere - I looked at my watch after about 30 seconds of celebrations and my heart rate was 155. There isnāt another thing in the world that would get my heart rate above 100, itās daft how good that feeling is, and also worrying what it could do to a less healthy and older heart!! Imagine some twat in a studio somewhere then analysing Jeromeās part in the goal for 5 mins and ruling it out whilst weāre just stood in the stands like lemons. Itās a fucking nonsense that is solely designed for a tv audience. I really, really hope that the final passes without knowing VAR is in play.9 likes

I personally think selling 28,000+ tickets for wembley, 35,000 tickets for Wembley last season, 15,000 season tickets and selling out nearly every away game this season says more than enough thank-you to Football Ventures. Maybe they should all stand up on 28 mins and thank us for our unwavering support and letting them be custodians our life long football team...8 likes

When you look at it like this, I realise that for the most past, Iām only desperate for promotion so we keep hold of players (including potentially Maghoma), and for the additional funds that playing in the Championship brings. While the standard down here is bad and you get too many teams spoiling games, itās great being one of the bigger boys. Stockport, Mansfield and Wrexham all promoted. Iād do all of them aways. Few more that still need ticking off too. 15.5k season ticket holders tells you the fanbase is enjoying Evattās tenure. And I still hope we keep hold of him as long as possible.8 likes

Had the misfortune to see some gimp's post (on Twitter, not here) saying it'd be a disgrace if we let Oxford sell more than us ... And that cost shouldn't be an issue to any Bolton fan as they can do it for 'only' Ā£100 per fan if they get a coach. Why can't folk just be happy that we're in a final and the crowd will be what it will be? There is only one thing that matters on Saturday, and that's the result.7 likes

My favourite part was when Sunak said that Labour pointing out how shit the last 14 years have been is a distraction tactic. āGive us a chance for the next 5 years but please donāt look at how weāve done for the last 14 when you weigh up your options.ā Itās like Garry Glitter setting up a crĆØche and asking you to ignore his past because heās got some great ideas on maximising messy play on the outdoor decking.7 likes

God, where do I start? To put it relatively short, I missed the game as I was away in Portugal, was proudly representing the Whites with my shirt all day travelling. My plane was scheduled to leave Lisbon at 935 last night and I managed to watch the majority of the game on my phone. As we boarded the plane, we conceded those 2 goals. Rarely said to be a lucky thing, the plane was slightly delayed at takeoff and managed to watch well into added time. The plane started accelerating and the clock hit roughly 94:00 of 5 minutes added time, and I was furious, thinking I'd have to wait possibly 3 more hours to find out whether we cocked it up or not. The passenger next to thought I was possibly a mad man but I think he understood what was going on. Thankfully (against airplane mode policy), I somehow caught signal just 1 minute after takeoff, enough of a signal to get the pitch invading photo from my dad(blurred on WhatsApp). When we got to Manchester, I could then see the full scenes on social media and what a sight it was to see. Anyway, just thought I'd share my personal experience, I knew once the the play off dates where announced that something dramatic would happen following us from the Airport! Let's get it done now at Wembley. COYWM!7 likes

In terms of attendances the only stat that matters is who has the most there 5 minutes after the final whistle.6 likes

Wish there was a right to reply. Because I would point out to the honourable Mr Hart that the initial Peterborough allocation sold out in 20 minutes at a point when, as far as anyone knew, that was the total allocation. The extra tickets only appeared once Peterborough were out of the race, and Iād suggest we wouldnāt have got them if weād had more chance of catching Derby, either. And I still want to know who these supporters groups are who he has been speaking to. Either folk who already have an āinā, or those who donāt do many aways so are quite happy to have an equal chance in a free for fall. Iād also point out that āa handful of timesā represents anything from 20-25% of the league season so is very much not an isolated incident, nor has it been for the last 3 years of fastest finger first.6 likes

People moaning about the pitch invasion it was a bunch of folk enjoying Bolton winning, kids that may never have experienced the sheer emotion of winning a play off game. Getting rid of the pent up tension of the previous 90 minutes, especially last 20. No one thinks we are automatically promoted but just fucking enjoy the moment. I am sure some of the downer comments are the result of reading bitter comments from fans of other teams on social media. If we had not gone on the pitch we would be labelled soulless.6 likes

Never trusted us with our backs to the wall but jesus we dug deep for that 20 min spell. Surviving spells like that is what makes or break you and has broke us a few costly times this season. Not tonight though. Fucking love it.6 likes

Took my lads Manchester United-supporting mate with us today. His dad takes him to Old Trafford a couple of times a season, but he's going to ask if he can have a season ticket at the ToughSheet when he gets home. š6 likes

Run their course!! FFS! Turned club round completely, record ST sales, upgrading hotel, put in fanzone, got the town on side brought in Swiss investors, invested in good players, got us promoted, could be promoted again this seasonā¦ who you think gonna come in and do betterā¦ youāre away with the fairies.6 likes

I genuinely have no idea what some people are on about. We were absolutely brilliant yesterday against a league winning team. We beat them all over the pitch and were 2 sitters away from winning. There was fuck all wrong yesterday. What else could Evatt do? If it is the play offs we beat anyone. Including the tangerine shite.6 likes

Promotion from L2 was the bare minimum of acceptability IMO Steadied in L1, could have been so much better had we started the season in August and not January Lovely day out at Wembley, bottled the play-offs with two weak displays Blew automatic promotion, but still in with a shout of achieving the bare minimum of acceptability So far, it's a bit like my old school reports, could do better : seems to be just doing enough.5 likes

I honestly donāt know how some Bolton āfansā manage to cross the road. Iāve never read so many ridiculous questions on various platforms, including here. Grown men behaving like bloody primary school children. Do these people never leave their houses for Gods sake? Stay at home you fucking imbeciles, itās safer for you.5 likes

Attendance, kit colours etc are irrelevant. The only thing that matters is getting one goal more than Oxford.5 likes

I was just having a poke around in the member settings it was set up so that standard members couldn't view who has liked their comments, and were limited to 2 likes per day, whilst suporter could see and were unlimited anyway I've just made it so everyone can see, and can like as much as they want, you may need to log out and then back in again to see this if you want to make a donation to site running costs after this apparent act of benevloance on my part, go for it if you don't, no bother5 likes

I think that is bang on there's been plenty games that were easy to get a ticket for, I know because I got @DirtySanchez a ticket for most of them - i.e. the ones down south there aren't that many folk ike you and @radcliffe white who do all those aways up and down the country whether it's weekend or midweek, it would never be a closed shop so it's quite easy for the smaller hardcore to build up points that would mean they have more chance of getting tickets for the big/local ones, and still be scope for the more casual day trippers to get one hardcore (like you) should not be going head to head with one or two games a season folk (like me) for play off semi final tickets5 likes

Oo eck, play off time. When you're too close emotionally to the action it's difficult to offer a reasoned opinion ( like you lot are ) so if I may here goes from a pie eating perspective. I'll try to be as unbiased as local rivalry allows and I'm going to have a flutter to keep my interest alive so to speak so here's my pick. Barnsley...Great start to the season but what a shitshow since including a change of manager. You lot will stroll past um with a 3 goal advantage over 2 legs ( 2-1 and 3-1 ). Tuther match is a much closer job. All teams fear momentum and Oxford have it just now. Peterborough have the mentality that if you score 3 we score 4 but Oxford are organised and this one will go either 1 of 2 ways. Posh click into goalscoring mode and run away with it or, Oxford nick a tight double header which is my choice. ( 2-1 Oxford then 2-2 at Posh ). Reet final...another very close match. I wouldn't be heartbroken if Oxford nicked it as that would guarantee us 6 points off you lot next season but I honestly ( through gritted teeth ) think you lot edge it 3-2. There's a fiver going on this series of scores. So , in conclusion if this lot comes to pass our paths may not cross for the foreseeable which I've no doubt breaks your feckin hearts but either way enjoy and al si thi.5 likes

Reform? The lunatic fringe of conservative politics? Had you been championing a party closer to David Cameron/ George Osborne style Tories (even though I don't agree with them politically) I might have thought you wanted something beneficial for the country and a return to sensible politics. Reform are no more a sensible political choice than the Communist Party. Just gobshites stirring up pointless culture war bollocks the same as that twat in the lala land thread just coming from the other end of the political spectrum.5 likes

Seems like the final average attendance for this season was 21080. Second best in the league behind Derby. From memory it was just shy of 19,000 last season. It's bloody impressive stuff. For most of my BWFC supporting life I'd never have dreamt we'd average that in a third tier season.5 likes

No coach at any level coaches to leave players unmarked on the edge of the penalty areas from corners. Itās lack of communication from the playing group and nothing to do with Evatt or coaches. Seems a stick to beat Evatt with, especially for those whoāve wanted him out for monthsā¦ utterly ridiculous, heās got his faults but the positives outweigh the negatives.5 likes

If I'd have responded to this yesterday, my angry/emotional/pissed up response would have been dismissively condescending. And it shouldn't do because it's a well thought out opinion, which I'll take the time out to respond to. But it does come across as someone who thinks they have the upper hand on Evatt, the solutions to any problems we may encounter and a definitive tick-box summary of "what's stopping us" It's not that simple, so it's hard for football fans to argue/counter argue with limited coaching knowledge, but I suspect 4-3-3 has a whole host of defensive limitations. Worked great getting us out of L2, but encountered problems with it in L1. Players have been recruited with our current formation in mind. It's developed and evolved to put us in the best position we've been in for 3 seasons. The coaching team have talked extensively about tactics, fluidity, playing with a possession based attacking style. Throwing the ball backwards is part of this and is usually an effective way of us keeping hold of the ball to go on to create chances, it's happened a lot this season to good effect. It's risk vs reward which is an effective part of the way we play. The best example of countering your mentality claim, is directly related to this example. Ogbete showed great mental strength to come back from his mistake. He never shied away from receiving the ball, he took on attackers to great effect in his own half and created our first goal. I think this epitomises, along with Santos, Maghoma, Collins (other players who've been questioned), how mentally strong our players actually are. I just think it's really easy to claim what the problems/answers are as a fan without truly understanding the methodology of coaching/managing professionally. And that's not to naively suggest we have no problems and can't be better, of course we can but I trust FV, Evatt and his team to know how to do this better than someone on a fans forum. That game shouldn't be being highlighted for the reasons we aren't top 2. More celebrated for the fact we matched/bettered the champions, have players who are in great form, have players who have answered the critics, players who are back hungry from injury, to get us promoted playing the brand of football that has been so good to watch these last 4 seasons.4 likes
