radcliffe white Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 5 games this back line 1 conceded (3 against top sides), also an assist & goal whilst playing together Santos is clumsy always a clanger away for me he sits on bench and waits for his turn Quote

That's why they're playing in League 1. Quote

Wouldn’t agree with that yes some look suspect at times Aimson & johnston good examples last season but have improved massively, with santos I’m on edge this current 3 not so Quote

gonzo Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 Injured players normally get better the longer they are out. Santos is getting worse Quote

jmjhb Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 Two of their loans have been cut short: Griffiths, the keeper, and Koroma who was one of the forwards I think Quote

Depends if we are considering having a shot on target. I slightly jest but I’m worried we used our weekly goal on tues. Quote

Didn't somebody mention on here the other week that IE had a similar theory to Allardyce about not taking pot shots etc? xG and all that bollocks (he really was ahead of his time, wasn't he?) Quote

Aye seen summat like that. It sounds great when it works and a bit silly when it doesn’t. When it doesn’t work it sounds a bit Dougie Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 Arguably it's more prevalent now than under big Sam. At least we'd use free kicks as an opportunity to get balls into the box, even if they were a way from goal. Now, unless the set piece is fairly close, we play it short. Someone said before, there is a correct balance to be had. Quote

They'll be drilled in to standing off knowing we generally fuck about with it till we can Charles away or cut in from the byline. Like you say balance is key. Shooooot Quote

The likes of Morley, Demspey, and Sheehan in midfield are all capable. Quote
Wanderlust Posted January 12, 2023 Author Posted January 12, 2023 Blimey! Dan Nlundulu must have some shot on him - he's injured Geth with it.... Evatt also revealed that Gethin Jones is set to miss Saturday’s clash with Portsmouth at the University of Bolton Stadium. The defender was absent from the Papa Johns Trophy quarter-final on Tuesday night after picking up a knock in training. The manager explained: “Everyone is fine from the other night. Gethin took a bit of a bang from one of Dan Nlundulu’s shots on Monday in training, so he has got a bit of bruising on his knee. “It is nothing structural or serious, it is just literally a bit of swelling and bruising. We are waiting for it to settle down, so he is probably going to miss Saturday again. Quote

Tonge moor green jacket Posted January 12, 2023 Posted January 12, 2023 One of them stingers by the sounds of it. Leaves a ball shaped bright red mark, especially in the cold, and it feels like you have a fiery lump there for a while. Quote
