Wycombe (A)

Our Achilles heal is still managing those tight games were the home team usually well organised & disciplined rather than talented break up our rhythm by a mixture of physicality & shithousery.

We have definitely improved when dealing with this type of team , but we aren’t there yet .Wycombe are probably the leading exponents of these tactics .

Hope we can muster a bit of grit for next Wednesday as Accy will be up for it !

Didn't play well at all, but it could have been different had Santos not blazed over in the first 4 minutes and if Gethin's shot hit the bar and went in instead of out, but that's no excuse for the poor display, bit of pressure last few minutes with the long throws and ultimately lost to a shot that shouldn't go in from that angle imo, though he did hit it well.

Dion hardly touched the ball it seemed and even though Adeboyejo was involved far more, it was mainly with his back to goal or trying to outjump/out muscle their cbs's, he had a good opporturnity when he cut inside but tamely shot to the keeper.

This with a plus 1.....Dempsey will be a massive loss for us, always fear the worst when it's a non contact injury.

It’s a worry tbh because we have looked a better team with Dempsey .

I didn’t get the “Dempsey incident/injury”  - looked bad when it happened, he was limping in front of us, then he started running round the sideline as if he was going to come back in, then he was substituted 🤷‍♂️

Might have been precautionary hopefully

As tough an away fixture as there is in League 1. When we look back at the season and pinpoint games to kick ourselves over we will be looking at Forest Green and Cheltenham (a) and Oxford (h) not this.

Picking up injuries like Dempsey is not what the doctor ordered at all.

We need to refocus on consolidating that play off position and I suspect we will. #

I would not be fancying getting Wycombe in the play offs.

We will - starting next week against Port Vale

when 5th place Derby go to 6th place Barnsley

when 7th place Wycombe go to 8th place Shrewsbury

and when 9th place Peterborough host 2nd place Plymouth

am surprised no one has mentioned Plymouth so far tonight - Plymouth who dropped 2 points at home to Fleetwood this afternoon

There are 9 teams in this - chasing 6 places and there will be at least 3 of them dropping points  next weekend
