All keepers do that, its the price for managers asking them to play out from the back, admittedly it doesn't always result in an immediate goal. We all see it happen in the Prem most weeks and managers don't seem to mind, always coming out with the stock "he's saved us on many occasions" response. Made some really good saves against Everton. Plus his pedigree and potential to do this at a level above L1 and the fact that he’s fit and raring to go makes it an almost certainty he starts Saturday. Seen him palm a few shots that Traff would have caught. But he is plenty good enough to be a promotion winning L1 goalie, which is all that matters. Trafford could be a bit rash with rushing out, such as Accrington away. Not been able to judge Baxter in that yet. In terms of passing out from the back, that is always going to make any goalie look dodgy at times, Traff had a few nervy moments. Baxter will this season. He has already given away a free goal from it in pre season and no doubt it will get us into trouble again but I won’t be part of the typical (but thankfully a minority) “stop fuckin around with it/gerrit forward” brigade.
