Frustrating afternoon, happy with a point overall but annoyed about the good positions we got in first half that came to nothing. Collins looks a player straight away, deffo got a spark about him. Not as convinced by Taylor but it's tough going straight into a back 3 like that. Barnsley are a team of bastards and the ref was weak as fuck.

Baxter is a cracking keeper but he puts us in trouble time and time again. Second half he was shocking then redeemed himself two or three times, he needs to mix it up at times.

Is just me who think Magomha is a luxury in League one. He looks good on the ball running across the pitch, rarely runs at defenders and often his passes go astray, he rarely wins the ball and really there no end product.

Really frustrating game but happy with the point, just as long as we pick up wins in our next games coming up.

That game was all about us, Barnsley just pressed from goal kicks and waited for us to make mistakes.

Controlled the rest of the game except a horrendous 10 minutes at the start of the 2nd half. No way we should've been 1-0 down at half time.

Collins and particularly JDB were just so much better than Charles and Vic. JDB might not score but he does so much holding up the play and bringing others into it.

Maghoma does not work hard enough, so shocked that he was kept on for 90 minutes, he has to do more.

I think we will be a different beast when we play Barnsley next, let the new signings bed in, have Santos and Thomason in there side and we beat them.

An enjoyable game that. Prefer the emotions of that rather than going through an Exeter 8-0.

Baxter was immense in net, two saves inpaticular where an average league one keeper let's through them. MOM.

I thought demps and Paris did well in a battle and didn't go hiding. And Collins gave us a glimpse of what is to come. 

Taylor was on a hiding to nowt. Thrown in in the middle of the three , in our system, in a real tough game. Think he will come on and do well in future games , Deffo a player there.

But overall,  a weird one. Could have been three baht down and then leave a little bit disappointed we didn't nick the 3. Outstanding save by their mon in the 87/88th min

All that possession using the extra man at the back is fine but when we are being pressed, we have to be accurate and whilst I appreciate the idea is to draw them on and play through the press, the ball has to stick for it to move play up the park and until JDB and Collins came on it didn’t.

Evatt has implied in the past that the chasing Dion and Vic do wears the opposition down - maybe it did to some extent - but that first 20 minutes of the second half they’ll still be fresh and fired up and will continue to press, but we often come out for the second half and try to play as if they’re already knackered and we look vulnerable. Not the time to spray it around or make lazy passes.

If we can iron out the sloppy play we’ll be fine, but I’m chalking that down as a lucky draw seeing as they had the clearer chances by far.

5/10 must try harder.

Said this to me mate in the ground, did you notice when we did all the sidewards stuff Barnsley players barely moved an inch, they took up positions In two banks of four and didn't hound us down.

He is not my definition of luxury.

Would you play both Collins and JDB together then- if both are doing fine support play? 

Or one with Dion who is still the main goal scorer?

I am sure Evatt gives him wiggle room.....Plays it out to Sheehan when he is marked

Coleman is under the same instructions but he mixed it up midweek at Blackpool.

I think Baxter is quality and like i said....he redeemed himself each time

He’s not for me I’m afraid and I’d rather we gave CMG a chance instead. He looks good and definitely has skills but rarely influences anything and if we’re going to make top two we need more than that.

Happy with the point but jeezus I have tried to like vic buy when your striker is setting up Barnsley attack with his first touch ,  come on,  it's so bad and so predictable what's gonna happen with him.

I’ll respectfully disagree and I wish he’d stop shooting as he’s closer to hitting the moon, Baxter & Dempsey streets ahead of those who played 90 and for me Maghoma was worst player on the pitch closely followed by Iredale.

Well there must be common sense with it and some of the positions he tried to play out of were a joke so agree with that . Once bod came on it did five the option to hit it longer which he did but we do look a bit ridged at times

I thought Paris did well, doesn't panic when it seems everyone else around him is, creates space with his ability to change the direction if play. Yeah his shot late second half was dog shit but i fancy him to hit the goal more often than not there. 

Think people forget these guys are kids and are with us because they're no finished article. I think he'll ultimately play at a higher level longer than any of our regular midfielders. And I'm a big fan of all of them. But only time will tell. 

And how good was josh earl for them! An example of someone that's come on since we saw him in a bwfc top
