There are loads of ticketing providers, but TM have the deals with the main venues and have for years which means they have the data, it's a monopoly pretty much for large scale events which is why they go into trouble with the whole vivagogo as well before they sold it to ticketstub

SEE have a much better backend system.

Usually go through the artist link to buy tickets unless it takes me to Ticketmaster then I'll try other places first.

Youngest queued this morning for the £150 tickets. By the time she got to checkout they were £350 and she couldn’t afford or justify it. She had a good cry. TM are utter cunts

Finally informed everyone it’s sold out. Just go online now and try and buy tickets for Wembley. It will put you in a queue with 25,000 people. With nothing to buy at the end of the process.

Took about 3 hours but eventually got through on gigs and tours at 12ish. Got about 50 between a few of groups of mates. Waste of a morning but got there in the end.

Ticketmaster was awful

Did well there. I know very few people who were successful.

Fuck the Manc cnuts, if they were performing in my front garden I would shut the curtains and let the dog out, awful music too

Can't say they float my boat neither, but then again none of them really do.

Music is of more interest than any of the performers for me: rightly or wrongly, just how it is.

As for the ticket situation; we see it all over, whether it's sport, music, whatever.

It should be made illegal, but it's notable how little the performers seem to kick up a fuss about it all.

Not really, dynamic pricing is ideal - you pay more for things that are popular, seems fair enough to me. It's done a lot with also portions of houses held back and then on sale at a price that the market would sustain.

Anyway, if folk won't pay for albums anymore it forces bands to make money from live performances - that's why we're all now paying through the nose for gigs.

Why are you quoting me? Is it because I'm a Labour member? Here's a thing that might swivel your noddle, I don't actually support every single Labour MP. It's a party for a reason, my dear

Nah it isn't, it's how people can make money rather than just a flat pricing system. You want to see something a lot of other people do? Then you have to pay more - it's as old as the hills, it's just now it can be done in real time so you don't need to just set fixed price bands.

I understand why Ticketmaster do it they've no loyalty to the gig goers and their bottom line is the most important factor. And folk will be daft enough to pay it.

Since the rug was pulled on them running their own ticket tout system it's the next step in ripping folks off
