Traf Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 I was on the 7.58am train from Lancaster and we'd just pulled out of Wigan NW when I heard it was off. Got off the train at Warrington BQ, waited 45mins for a train back North and was back in Lancaster at 10.15. No train refund, because I'd used the ticket. Another £120 down the shitter, because our club didn't press their club for a decision last night. Quote

Fairly sure you should be able to get partial refund if you press them along the lines of you chose not to complete the journey because of the cancellations coming back. Our Bristol-Manchester train was cancelled this afternoon (despite arriving in Bristol!) so we’ve had to go across to London then up from there. All for a game that didn’t take bloody place. Quote

Due to the delays and cancellations , there was a do not travel warning across the network because of the Storm. All tickets were available on any service to get folk home quickly & safely. As such, your journey is classed as an abandoned journey & a full refund is available to be claimed. You're welcome! Quote
Traf Posted December 8, 2024 Posted December 8, 2024 I shall try to get them to refund in that case. Thanks, chaps. Quote

I would take that up with them. we’ve had 5 refunded in full despite using the Bolton-Stockport day return part of the booking. Quote

Bertie Posted March 8, 2025 Posted March 8, 2025 Good record here last few seasons - hope that doesn’t change on Tuesday. Glad they beat Huddersfield today. 2-0 win and the run continues. Quote
Zico Posted March 8, 2025 Posted March 8, 2025 SS is making things happen that weren't previously happening Hopefully the next one is winning games in hand If we can be sat above Stockport this time next week happy days I can't see us doing more than both Wycombe and Wrexham to finish 2nd but 4th and play off advantage is most definitely on Charlton away at Crawley then home to Wigan so they'll fancy their chances for two wins Quote
Wanderlust Posted March 9, 2025 Posted March 9, 2025 (edited) Another tight pitch and another team that are likely to cede possession so I’m thinking we are likely to face similar issues as we did at Burton. Charlton should beat Crawley so we could do with keeping pace with them. Another tricky fixture for us so any win will do. Edited March 9, 2025 by Wanderlust Quote
Jol_BWFC Posted March 9, 2025 Posted March 9, 2025 Them beating Hudds was good on two fronts - firstly allowing us to leapfrog the Terriers, but also relieving some pressure on them so they’re less desperate for points in the relegation scrap. Of course, they will gain confidence from the win, but it’s the lesser of two evils. If we have any hope of top 2, we simply have to find a way to win. I think we will. 2-0 Bolton. Hopefully Collins’ knock isn’t too bad and he can face his old team. Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted March 9, 2025 Posted March 9, 2025 Crawley have held both Wycombe and Reading at home recently, so Charlton is no gimme. Quote

I'm struggling to think of a more dangerous looking attack against us than Crawley's at our place, in comparison it seemed easy to deal with Brum and Wrexham for eg (I know attacking potency is far from just about the front 2 - Stockport for eg - I'm purely commenting on the front 2 or 3). They will give anyone a game, but they've conceded 65 goals so not difficult to see where their problems lie. Quote
Tonge moor green jacket Posted March 10, 2025 Posted March 10, 2025 Can see Lolos getting a start. Dunno what Collins' injury is like, but maybe a bench place and fresh for Stockport. Quote
