I doubt there will have been much of a difference as that was an extra game. Don't know if Barnsley brought a full allocation.

They sold the top tier out. Same as Disney

Then the difference will have been comps, we gave loads away for Wrexham

We only gave barnsley 2163 tickets in retaliation for them giving us a reduced allocation for home legĀ  Pretty sure Disney also had bottom tier allocation as well as full upper tier

Barnsley felt just as, if not more full than v Wrexham. But again, it’s the old Tickets sold v People attended argumentĀ

It would have been fuller v Barnsley, if you buy a ticket you're going to attend, its not like league games with STs not coming, so the published crowd is the real crowd effectively.

Also we only gave Barnsley 2k (top tier), I think Wrexham had about 3k, so a bigger proportion of home fans.

True, I bet there are no comps given out for play offs (EFL probably wouldn't allow it as profits are shared).Ā  And when they give comps out no guarantee folk even use them, they get counted as an attender having not paid and not even turned up in some casesĀ šŸ˜€

Definitely more there in the home end v Barnsley than any home game in recent years.

The difference isn’t comps, it’s season tickets.

The Wrexham game would have had around 3k season ticket holders missing (still holiday time and live on TV) but counted in the attendance figures.

Barnsley game was match tickets bought expressly for that game, the week before. Will have been virtually no no-shows.

Hence, more on, despite a smaller attendance.

Apologies just read this, you explained it better than me.

A capacity of less that 27000 for the fixture then.

Iirc the total is 28700, plus a few.

That's quite a lot of seats not being made available.Ā

I thought that too. They don’t need segregated seats if Bradford have sold the whole stand, and even if they do it won’t be 2000 of them.

Yeah I don't personally understand how segregation could amount to 1700 tickets. There will be a couple hundred at the absolute max in both corners of the south stand.

Other than that there should be 28k on the cards if we get to it.

Either way, absolutely mega.

To the likes of Derby, Birmingham etc, it might not seem much. But for a town club in the location we are in, the highest concentration of football clubs and the 3 of the worlds current biggest clubs on our doorstep, it really is impressive.

Hope the team show up. Excited for this one.Ā

Aye, this is a big marker for SS

These are the type of games where we haven't in the past whether it was IE or PP in charge

Let’s not get too carried away with Birmingham. They’ve historically been at 16-18k gates and only last year when the yanks turned up and they won a league did that get up to 25-26k.

There aren’t many that have been L1 in the last 5-10 years that have pulled in better crowds than us. Derby is fair, Leeds when they were down here but that’s obvious and maybe the Sheffield clubs (when they were doing well). Even Ipswich in the year they went up were similar gates to us, low 20s for some, increasing to high 20s for the ā€˜big’ games.

Our support, especially considering the last 10-12 years that we’re off the back of and a 5th season in the third tier which is below our historical normal level, is top draw. I can’t wait to see what it’s like in the Championship.

Championship we would be averaging 24,000 at the least.

The fanbase has grown exponentially. 5 years in League 1 now and the support is still there, but we're just so desperate to get out of this godforsaken league.

Yeah and for me, regardless of what happens in this game, Schuey has shown more in his half a season or so now in the big games than Evatt did in 5 years.

Already beaten the pie eaters twice and convincingly so. Beat Birmingham last year and beat Cardiff and Huddersfield twice this season.Ā

Don't think people can keep bringing up the narrative of the big crowds affecting us anymore. Every home game is a big crowd and we have the best home form in the league. We thrashed the bane of our lives 4-1 this season in front of nearly 26,000.

But yeah it's a massive game this. Early goal for us would be huge. There will be 5k Bradford fans there but also potentially 22/23k Bolton. Let's have it.

It’s setting up nicely. Good run of form. Full house. Just needs to be on sky and it’s a mortgage lumper of an away win 😁

ACD named October player of the month too, so nailed on to have a poor game.

For me this final one is about a big away following having a grand day out at our expenseĀ

Ok you could say Wigan but am thinking of the likes of Carlisle and StockportĀ

I think we've got the team and mindset to deal with a team who will be lifted by the type of following they don't normally play in front of

It's not always been the case

Just overload them on the left flank thenĀ

We did twat Sunderland, beat Derby, draw to Wrexham and even though we lost against Barnsley in the playoffs I doubt their fans considered it a great night out.

At this level (outside of Carlisle which was a weird one) well supported teams are generally among the better teams in the division. I'm not sure how many away fans there are affects our performance. And there's probably a bit of bias in the fact that us losing when the away end is packed lives longer in the memory then when we lose and it's empty (and that's happened plenty in the last five years too).

Anyway, it'll be a fantastic atmosphere, a great occasion. And if their best player is still Antoni Sarcevic how good can they be?
