Guest bwfcdan Posted June 7, 2013 Posted June 7, 2013 Inter in Bergamo? I think I might just be making it up, it's a pretty vague memory! Quote

Mounts Kipper Posted June 8, 2013 Author Posted June 8, 2013 (edited) mounts http://news.bbc.co.u...all/3526292.stm edit...and from bolton news http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/archive/1970/01/01/Lancashire+Archive/5827298.Cesar_can_rule_the_Reebok/ 14,500 on so hardly a poor crowd, and if it had been on the family fun day with free entry for kids sure there would have been 20,000. The club continue to dumb down friendlies each season 1 big name team at the Reebok should mark the start of the season it should be the catalyst to a season to get the feel good factor going the past few seasons rubbish friendlies low key atmosphere with sparse attendances hardly get the players and fans pulse racing and its shown in the first 20 games with piss poor form. The family day and free entry to under 16s is the way forward,we are supposed to be a family community club so we should act like one. Give it another 5 years and the club will take this on board and proclaim it as there idea like everything else they do. Fuckin clueless. Edited June 8, 2013 by Mounts Kipper Quote
QFPants Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 14,500 on so hardly a poor crowd, and if it had been on the family fun day with free entry for kids sure there would have been 20,000. But it WAS family fun day, it probably was free for kids (dirt cheap at least) back when we had a good premiership squad, at the start of a season where we pushed for champions league. Agree it's probably a good idea to have the betis game on a Saturday afternoon (if they weren't playing elsewhere) but let's not kid ourselves we'd fill the stadium for it even if it was free for kids Quote
enzo gambaro Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 I don't remember there being owt like that many on. I remember half the ground being closed. Still, I'm happy to stand corrected by Gordon. Mind you, that article has Julio Cesar down as a legend in the making, too. Quote
QFPants Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Must have been a few on because I sat in the south stand, does sound very high though, more like 10-11k I'd have thought. All I remember is a big round of applause for Davids when he came on, and people around me having never heard of Adriano, and wondering who this big stump was that Inter had brought on up front after he missed a sitter Quote
SalfordOriginal Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Took my nephew to it. Was only £1 for him but cost me a full kit once he went in the shop. I recall it being a good crowd with top tiers shut making it seem busier. Lovely summers day as well He has grown up to be a Man Ure season ticket holder so money well spent there!!!! Quote

MalcolmW Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 I recall that near me in WSL were a lot of non-Bolton fans who had come from far and wide to see Inter. Quote
