Football is cyclical

The players that helped bring him that success have got older and / or lost their hunger and want to move on

He needs a rebuild and rethink how to get the best out of what he's got

Nonsense . As much as I loved that today, he’s too good not to adapt. Some responsibility lies with the players, Doku in the last minute & no idea why Haaland didn’t take the penalty.

He's changed his way plenty over the years.

This time feels a bit different though. Seems like there's been a big shift to 'proper football' over this season.

That Inter Barca semi summed it up. 

He certainly gonna have to get his thinking cap on to stop fast direct courner attacking play.

That said, the number of games lost by teams that have dominated possession has been on the rise for the last two years.

Teams that have a solid defensive formation and are geared to fast counterattack are very much in fashion - like the Italian teams of the 70s - and to be fair it’s the perfect response to Pep’s style if you have the quality to execute it properly.

My Palace mate has gone AWOL but Im presuming it’s a self-induced absence.
