My warning to Blackpool fans when he got the job was he's great when the goings good. When it's not his head falls off.

He will swing at anyone and turn on his players.

They didn't fanny about at the back v us so why on earth did they revert to it last night at a massive away game.

The one I warned about his stubbornness, has now come round to what I was saying. It was always going to happen, despite what he said when he took it on.

He'll be ragging them in training

Seeing them in the state they're in makes me even more pissed off we didn't deal with them properly the other week.

2 fucking gifts 🤦‍♂️

Aye

And makes an absolute mockery of his claim that nobody ever gifts Blackpool anything! 😂

City getting bummed in Madrid losing 3-0 at half time, Valverde with a hat trick. That third goal was class

...and there are plenty on here who will tell you that PL clubs are way ahead of the rest. Didn't look it this week eh?

Takes me back to last season with his mopey, but still arrogant, interviews. He won't last much longer at Blackpool

I was thinking very similar, not about Sarce in particular, but how well Bradford, Stockport and others have done coming out of the 4th Div. (Not including Wrexham for obvious reasons).

Coupled with bang average teams getting promoted around us, Pompey, Derby, Oxford, Charlton, Rotherham. Then we have Sunderland and Ipswich in the Prem in all the time we have been floundering in this division.

Evatt nearly fucked up getting out of the 4th division, and coupled with his stellar performances currently at Blackpool, I think his time with us needs to be reassessed.

I make no bones I never liked the bloke, but it was like a cult on here at times that we were progressing year on year!! But were we?, did we ever actually achieve what our squads were capable of? I don't think so, and other than Plymouth at Wembley won't look back with any affection to Evatt's time like I do to Rioch, Todd or BSA.

He is this generations Phil Neal, yet Neal got no end of shit, Evatt seemed immune from most until the end.

It's a simple fact that our League position improved year on year under Evatt, so not a "cultish" thing to point out really. But yeah, at the same time, his poor man management and stubbornness prevented him from taking us that tiny step further. His last 6 months can be disregarded entirely, because he lost his fucking mind altogether after Oxford. It was like watching a spicehead trying to tie his shoe lace with a knife and fork.

I don’t think it was cultish. For me it was evidence based progress.

And like Cheese alludes to that last 6 months, while I wouldn’t disregard it, (as it certainly highlights his weaknesses and faults), it was in contrast to the what had gone on previously.

And on occasions like this I always go back to @Horwich‘s point. All managers are either great or shit - mostly shit because they pretty much all fail at some point.

I would turn this argument on its head. In the modern day now it’s more cultish to irrationally flip opinion, be critical and claim to know all the answers a manager doesn’t.

Pep and Arteta go from great to shit game to game at the moment! And they are currently the best two around. Not much hope for the rest! Great one week, shit the next. And as soon as there’s a longer period of shitness all the other blips previously get lumbered in to provide “evidence” that “he has to go”.

We had a poll on here in January to get rid of Schumacher. In this crazy world he’s one poor result away from being questioned and lambasted again.

Fortunately it looks like our owners value longevity, relationship-building and sustainability above the irrational short-term ism that exists elsewhere in the game.

That said, they’ve made mistakes (they showed too much faith, loyalty, belief and time in Evatt), but I think they’ll learn from that.

Can't remember who said it on here but if he couldn't get the best sqaud in the league over the line with his system lord knows why he's continuing to use it with lads in a relegation dogfight.

If he'd gone after the Oxford defeat, as he should have, Evatt would be viewed much more positively as someone who progressed us well, just couldn't quite take that next step

He'll never learn, his level of arrogance won't go overnight. He'll just drift down the leagues thinking he's always right until he thinks it's beneath him.

Yes, what a complete dick yet still believes he’s the man for the job?

I wanted him gone after Oxford, but in fairness it would have taken a pretty ruthless board to sack him at that point given we'd missed out on promotion by 90 minutes.

The bigger failing was keeping him too long into the season when it was obvious his head had fell off.

There's been a step change in visibility from Sharon B since he went. I still feel her being made to do that hurt her more than we appreciate.

Ignoring any scurrilous implications she clearly got too close to the guy & supported him through any number of issues.

That's a good person, but sometimes even good people have to do difficult things  and good people can make mistakes.

Good to see Wrexham getting a bit of exposure tonight, finally selected for live TV.  Can't wait to see how they play, hear their fans and see how the stadium's coming on.

They need get rid of them goal nets which are barely Powerleague standard. Twice last week the ball bounced straight back out, people couldn't work out if it had gone in or not!

The amount of money they get via the link to the Hollywood two, plus Welsh tv is waaay beyond normal.

Not to mention the budget BBC Wales have to continually wank over them
