Ratwhite Posted September 18, 2015 Author Posted September 18, 2015 If you think Madine was brought in to be a goal machine, you'll be very disappointed Don't be talking common sense on here, you'll get barred Quote
Mounts Kipper Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Don't be talking common sense on here, you'll get barred I think he'll score more goals playing alongside an experienced player like Dobbie rather than Clough in fact I fully expect Madine to break his Duck at Huddersfield and I shall be making a small investment in that. burnden Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 If you think Madine was brought in to be a goal machine, you'll be very disappointed   He doesn't need to be a goal machine , he does need to hit the target/finish when presented with sitters though . Quote
Sweep Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 (edited) He's 25 not near his peak he's had lots of trouble granted his own making last few years which has hampered his progress I think if we get behind him show him a bit of love he will do well for us, he has scored goals as you've now pointed out that's why I didn't understand your original inaccurate comment. Â Fair enough, I'll admit I was wrong saying he has no record of scoring goals - he has though only had the one decent season, and that was at a lower level than we are now. Even Marvin Sordell had a good season once. Â I really hope that you're right and he will do well for us, and that he can recapture the sort of form that he must have had 3 or 4 years ago......for no other reason than we don't have many other options, and if it doesn't work out for him, then it'll mean that were in for a long hard season Edited September 18, 2015 by Sweep Quote

Zico Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Michu considering retirement at 29 due to being unable to find a club. Something more to this me thinks?  1) he's barely played the last 2 years, as he's always injured with his ankle and has just had another op  2) he's on 40k a week  3) he's got 1.5m remaining on his swansea contract which he hopes they will pay up  so basically he's a bit in limbo tyring to find another club to take him on and can't prove his fitness Quote
Zico Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Remember the shit we got for not signing him?  did we?  no one had heard of him before he signed for Swansea  and we were back in the Championship when he signed for them in 2012 Quote
Carlos Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 did we?  no one had heard of him before he signed for Swansea  and we were back in the Championship when he signed for them in 2012 After he'd banged a few goas in. We should have signed him. Why weren't we in for him etc. Quote

Rembrandt Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 The team lose concentration too often, are slow & lifeless going forward, we have no leadership & not much character on the pitch. We need a shouty pointy player to take control. Â Kevin Nolan ? Quote

Maybe a simplistic view but that,s the way I see it as a concerned lifelong supporter Well I'll tell you what, let's start a just giving page so every concerned lifelong supporter can chuck in ,say £100. ST ticket holders alone would raise about £1m . About 1% of what Davies has thrown into the club over the years.  Fucks sake. All these folk complaining about the lack of finance while still complaining that ticket, beer, programme etc prices are too high. It's amazing how so many folk found the money for the euro jollies or tickets when we were doing well in the Premier League who suddenly can't afford it now. Not a pop at you waffer just making a general point. Quote
waffer cup 07 Posted September 20, 2015 Posted September 20, 2015 (edited) But surely it's easier when your loaded to finance a club doing well than when it's in decline. By the way I never complain about the prices, Wanderers are cheap Edited September 20, 2015 by waffer cup 07 Quote
