radcliffe white
Depends what you've got doesn't it? We've not got much to work with.thats my thinking agree with above you don't necessarily need money but more players will leave without doubt
Leyther_Matt
All very worrying. Why on earth would Stubbs leave that job for a 12 month contract on peanuts with no money to sign any players with a depleted squad of kids and wankers to work with? A lot of people saying its reids job but what are they waiting for if it is? We'll know more on the Stubbs front at 5pm on Saturday. Lose that one and the season will be seen as a failure. Don't think he'd be too bothered about the lack of cash nor working with kids as he already does both to a certain extent. A bigger obstacle would be to receive assurances that he can bring his coaching staff with him.

Site Supporter Ratwhite Posted May 17, 2016 Site Supporter Share Posted May 17, 2016 Id be happy with Reid as he brings some serious financial benefits:- Wed only need to supply a season ticket bus pass for the 516/7 as he lives in Atherton, thus saving on expensive company cars He could probably pick up Jimmy Phillips on route He could also sign as a player and do more of a shift in centre mid' than Mark Davies did all last season. He looks like a monkey so we could all dress as planet of the apes for away games
jules_darby
Peter Reid scares me He hardly excelled at Plymouth in trying circumstances If he is the "best" we can attract, then I fear we are even more fucked than I imagined!

radcliffe white
Not clued up like some on here but what's the crack with the embargo? See Fulham had one in December and today it's been cleared. Has the club appealed what's the crack?

bwfcfan5
We have to submit accounts, be compliant with financial fair play rules and show the football league that we aren't about to run out of money to get the embargo lifted.

Moderators Horwich Posted May 17, 2016 Moderators Share Posted May 17, 2016 Im sure they would of lifted it at the earliest opportunity, so it seems harder than first thought. Especially when they thought it would be lifted before the end of the last transfer window

leebwfc
I Suppose there is no rush now the season is over. I know, meant in context of when he said it, was as if we were planning to get some loans in to try and stay up however unlikely that may have been, sorry badly typed
Traf
We didn't file FFP, because we would have failed FFP and therefore get hammered with a fine that we couldn't afford to pay. So to avoid the fine, we swerved FFP and got embargoed from signing players we couldn't afford to sign anyway. If the embargo gets lifted, we're still not buying anyone, as there's no fucking money. We didn't file accounts initially because nobody could sign off on future projections as Eddie had pulled the plug and the business was essentially relying on asset sales till someone took over. That is why we failed FFP. The club claimed that our budget was FFP compliant. Seems we still haven't been able to file accounts.
snowball
Eddie Davies intransigence and asset stripping prior to the 'sale' led to Sports Shield being the only game in town, even when their biggest financial backer pulled out . These two have no money and probably no idea. The embargo is here to stay, the judge said as much and the Football League will be 'monitoring us' under this embargo all season. Nothing is simple not even the Football League ratification of the takeover, obvious they were not happy. Nowt to do with being a miserable bastard (guilty as charged) and certainly not wishing any of this, it is bloody depressing. All the evidence is there we are fucked. Doing a Blackpool next season much more likely than top half.

I think that this lot are realists and doing OK so far. With big tasks to come.
