A lovely distraction for them where they can look like they’ve unilaterally sorted an injustice. Quote

Just wait until you see how Sunak spins it in Parliament, when he starts waxing on about what a great job they've done sorting it out Quote

If they do, and even for those that have died, then the next of kin should be getting any compensation. I'd heard about this scandal, but I had no appreciation at all how bad and widespread it was. I wonder if criminal charges will ever come about. Quote

Doubt it they’ll protect their own, same as PPE scandal. This Tory party have shown their true face and deserve years out of power. Quote

Quite an interesting interview with the mp (now lord) Arbuthnott earlier. He was keen that the investigations/punishments don't purely stop with Vennels, and that everyone involved, including those at Fujitsu, get what's coming to them. Looks like an emergency bit of legislation will be passed quickly to overturn all convictions, without needing to go through the slow court process. That's the first step, then get the criminals at PO etc banged up. Fraudulent, thieving bastards. Quote

Duck Egg Posted January 8, 2024 Posted January 8, 2024 It's worth watching some of the ongoing inquiry on you tube. The evidence some of those investigators give has to be seen to be believed. The main solicitor was the absolute worst though. Just listen to him for 5 minutes and ask yourself if you'd trust or believe anything he said. https://www.postofficescandal.uk/post/more-singhd-against-than-singh-ing/ Also, any chance the whole class ridden, corrupt, reward for failure, honours system could be looked at?
