All parties have skin in the game on this post office issue.

Look at the time period.

Quite an interesting interview with the mp (now lord) Arbuthnott earlier. He was keen that the investigations/punishments don't purely stop with Vennels, and that everyone involved, including those at Fujitsu, get what's coming to them.

Looks like an emergency bit of legislation will be passed quickly to overturn all convictions, without needing to go through the slow court process.

That's the first step, then get the criminals at PO etc banged up. Fraudulent, thieving bastards.

Spot on. With you all on this one. Sunak is indeed a cunt and the only solace from seeing the train wreck being elected will be seeing the end of this bloke. Wet lettuce only in it for personal kudos.

The highlighted bit ASAP. All of it.

I even agree with Casino on one of these odd occasions. Fucking pathetic that a TV drama has been needed to bring this into sharp focus.

Should fucking think so.  Also shouldn't have been an option - should've been stripped of it or, better still, never have been given it in the first place.

No one is even shocked by these stunts anymore, they just make stuff up and expect folk to believe them regardless.

How did we get to this state of affairs where an MPs, almost default position, is to lie first because their statement won't be checked and if it is, well, no one will remember anyway?

Be nice if this whole scandal was a catalyst for ripping up the whole honours system, House of Lords, MP selections policy etc

There's an election coming up

They'll probably try and dump it on Ed Davey

The only thing they've not blamed any of their problems on so far is the boogie.

Surprised Shapps didn't say it under one of his many other aliases

What job have they given him this week? Last time I checked he was transport minister

MP caught lying shock!

maybe she meant "thought" instead of "fought"

anyway

remarkable what a tv drama does for awareness

hardly anyone noticed when panorama showed everything for what it was, with interviews with the actual victims and all that

guess no one watched that

wait till they do a drama on brexit

Both Kevan Jones and David Davies been interviewed today. They've been working together on this for some while apparently.

Story is that they introduced a small bit of technical legislation a month or two back which was designed to help the relevant minister deal with the situation. There were around 5 other mps in the chamber during the discussion.

Fast forward to now, post drama, and the attendance was so high last night, that subsequent business couldn't be done because so many wanted to speak.
