We paid for a lot that was sold off, thats a fact - for better or worse. But the tax payer paid for things like the GP Tower and saw nothing else from it.

Its now understood that unfeteared deregulation is not good for any state. I've yet to hear any arguement that free capitalism, without some form of state control, makes it better for any country.

Which is why, generally and historically, a socially liberal centerist government is better for all.

The Tories have allowed it to happen, they don’t care as long as executives get their bonuses.  Every public service is worse than it was 14 years ago.
