Moderators Carlos Posted March 28, 2020 Moderators Share Posted March 28, 2020 I went to Morrisons at 7.45 last night, straight in and out, everyone keeping their distance apart from one dumb fucker stood in middle of isle on their phone. No need to go now until I'm out of fruit.

She's had every symptom of Covid. We don't know if she's had it, we don't know if she has still got it and is infectious, we don't know anything other than she has had all the symptoms and was in bed for a good 10 days. There'll be loads in the same position who are going back to all different roles and it's only now they have started about testing front line NHS staff. Is it madness or is it the best we can do, I'm sat here undecided at 3 beers in. Some scottish doctor on the tellybox this morning, Said that basically seasonal flu has gone to bed, if you've had symptoms it's more than likely Corona Virus.. Also.. looking at figures. Cases in Bolton, doesn't seem to have grown since Thursday and is at 26.. Salford (where I work) has doubled to 56 These are people that will have got it at a similar time to me, and haven't shifted it and it's started to affect their breathing, hence the hospital visit. This idea was floated by Cummings who thought he understood the science but didn’t. As with most things. Herd immunity means hundreds of thousands of deaths. Its not an option. Further there is no definitive study showing how long lastingly effective antibody immunity is. The only thing we can do is prevent as many people getting this as possible for as long as possible. Until either an effective treatment or vaccine is available. There is currently no other way. Not my words CAROL but those of TOP GEAR MAGAZINE. If it provides any reassurance they are only testing in hospital and Salford Royal are importing cases in from other areas as per MEN. This explains the comparatively high numbers in Salford atm. I accept his premise from a practical point of view, if nobbers aren't keeping clear of the olds etc, however through proper isolation of them, it should be achievable. That said I don't really fancy a dose of it, and I would imagine that not many do, so it's probably going to need a jab I'm the end to sort it. Unless everyone wants to stay indoors for 18 months. Still think it will be a managed return so some semblance of normality and with curbs re-established everytime the numbers at hospital start to creep up again. Until a vaccine or antivirals come out. Only feasible way and for me in terms of vaccines whooping cough vaccine nearly killed me and had me in hospital for a couple of weeks apparently according to my parents. MMR also had be seriously ill. TB had me off school for a couple weeks very ill despite the docs telling me I would be ok. So i think a covid19 vaccine is out the Question for me anyway

By then it were probably too late...
gonzo
Why hasn’t London been totally locked down by now if it the epicentre? Place should’ve been closed down weeks ago.
Site Supporter only1swanny Posted March 28, 2020 Site Supporter Share Posted March 28, 2020 If I take the antibody test and am proven to be immune. amongst others, there is no reason why i can't go back to work full time at the school.. Once they have enough people there to man it, there is nothing to stop students coming back without symptoms.. problem is the idea falls apart if someone has symptoms

You can’t easily manage this. I think we need restrictions of some sort until a vaccine is available. Unless some other magic way crops up to stop transmission. It might be 3 months isolation followed by 2 out. Nobody knows. But there isn’t a simple way out. If you have proper long lasting immunity then possibly herd immunity might be a very long term managed way over the next two years but nobody knows how long immunity lasts. Twitter and Facebook is full of shite calling for Johnson to resign, kick the Tories out etc.... some people no matter what their political allegiances are, just cannot help themselves, i read one social media rant yesterday saying the same shite as they were during the election campaign, Tory lies, Johnson lies, cover ups, BJ and Hancock are faking the CV, the left wing/Momentum mob wont and never will accept anything this government does whether is correct or not. And there are dyed in the wool Tories who wouldn’t accept anything a Labour government did. I’d bet Johnson would be one up in arms about Blair imposing these restrictions. There are plenty of right wing twats saying we shouldn’t have any restriction because it’s all overblown.
