Escobarp
My mum has had her letter for the Jab which is good so they’re clearly getting through the 60-70’s in bury also had a letter saying she needs a pacemaker fitted so hospitals are maybe starting to gear up again but assume possibly that’s classed as an essential op rather than elective? She’s adamant she’s not having it as of yesterday as says there’s nowt wrong with her. As she called me my brothers name and said she needed to send her dad a birthday card next week. He’s been dead 35 years 🙄 Edited February 20, 2021 by Escobarp

He’s been dead 35 years 🙄 Yep that’s non-elective mate Wish you well with your mum. Sounds like she’s entering the territory that my Dad did. Was reading his Psych reports the other week that my Mum dug out. Scary what a consultant writes down on paper as an assessment. Glad now that I didn’t read them at the time and just treated him as the daft old bugger that was my Dad

Lt. Aldo Raine
I got told today that it's possible to register and tip up at the Etihad as and when they have vaccines going to waste. No matter you're age, no matter whether you have any underlying conditions. The person who told me that knows someone who falls into the above category and has already had their jab. Has anyone else heard that?

Not sure about that, as in, I doubt he's on a ward with several others No doubt in an exclusive suite away from anyone else, regardless of covid The other halves nan got put in a room on her own before she died of it allowing her auntie to go see her

Escobarp
Next door neighbours c70 had theirs this week. Both same address and same gp for 30 years. Both called to,different vaccine centres. One was 40 mins drive away other local. He had to wait an hour and 40 minutes past his appointment time sat in the car waiting. No explanation given. few of their friends also have experienced problems and are saying it’s an absolute shit show up here.

I won't even try to estimate how many minions & security were inside the hospital during the visit.

Fair point but whether PP has covid or not Id have thought his setup would be nothing like a care home In any case it's not really surprising, i bet BJ had enough visitors when he had it

I am often on call for a funeral director to collect the deceased from either Bolton General, care homes or, on occasion, private houses. Nobody ever stands at the front door refusing me entry "because of covid" but welcome me in with my face mask and rubber gloves. All the staff also wear face masks too so all no different than walking past then in a supermarket. My mum had a fall a couple of weeks ago and broke her femur. She's currently in Wilfred Geere House on Highfield Rd, Farnworth, a home I've visited on numerous occasions on collections. Am I allowed in to see her? Am I bollocks!
