On the other hand Central London and other areas with lowish figures have also been thrust into 3. Their mps, like ours being told no, when they asked for their areas to be reviewed.

Liverpool doing well in 2 currently. 

Geography, travel patterns etc all looked at.

Tier 3 has helped us get the numbers down and that's ultimately what we all need.

After working non stop in and out of schools since March and my Mrs being a respiratory nurse working on a high risk covid ward,  We've finally caught the fucking thing.... Surprised it's taken so long tbh. 

I find it odd we both have different symptoms. I've no cough or breathing difficulty... Just a high temp 38.6 and my body feels like it's been hit by a bus. Can't taste nowt either.

Anyone else on here had it?

Two leading medical journals have said the UK's plan to ease Covid rules over Christmas is a "rash decision" that will "cost many lives".

The Health Service Journal and British Medical Journal said people might see the lifting of restrictions "as permission to drop their guard".

The Health Service Journal (HSJ) and British Medical Journal (BMJ) wrote in a joint editorial: "Members of the public can and should mitigate the impact of the third wave by being as careful as possible over the next few months. But many will see the lifting of restrictions over Christmas as permission to drop their guard."

"We are publishing it because we believe the government is about to blunder into another major error that will cost many lives," they added.

Cabinet minister Stephen Barclay said people must "act responsibly" over Christmas.

"We've got to trust the British people to act responsibly and do the minimum that is possible for them in their family situation."
