Catch 22. Cannot think I have read any others.

Yes I have, Slaughterhouse 5 which is probably better.

Catch 22... you can dip into that one and just read a couple of chapters, it's on my list of all time greats

I love reading military history and realistic fiction.

Bomber by Len Deighton for starters. For the non bookish types the BBC did a radio adaptation which you can get as a podcast

Waterloo fascinates me .

Plus the frogs got battered .

Mind you we had a bit of back up

I've said this before but I found Catch 22 utter shite.

I started reading it as it was meant to be a classic and everyone raves about it.

Got so far in and knew it wasn't for me but had come too far to stop reading it.

Catch 22

Had to plough on. Not a fan.

Where do I start?

All works of fiction but based on true events.

The whole series of the Phillip Kerr novels and his character Bernie Gunther. Well recommended. After that David Downing’s Station series. Currently on my eighth book by Alex Gerlis. 2 sets of 4 in the series.
All based before, during and after the war. Mainly in Berlin.
I’ve read others but I tend to stick with one author for a while if I enjoy the first one.

Munich by Robert Harris is good too. Again, Fiction based on fact.
