Already seeing prices being reduced by 15-20% Tends to follow here. Sell now. Rent for a bit. Buy. Take it that's what you're doing then, aye? freds dad
I'm all for house prices falling. It means I can buy more to rent out to people who can't afford to buy.

It often isn’t affordability but more current circumstances or stability. I have a friend who, due to flitting from job to job, could never get a lender to take the risk. Result is he’s always been in rented properties with his three (now grown up) kids.

Terraced houses in Macclesfield where I live go for up to £230k which is unaffordable for most.

Certainly was with my two anyway. One is now off Ashworth Lane, the other off Templecombe Drive. Top and bottom is, they’ll struggle to stay close to home. Might just have been restocking. A lot of offers have disappeared, packs of cheese (Liz Truss) have been 2 for £3 since forever. Now they are £2.49 each. It feels weird that we can have a recession and inflation at same time.

And let me tell you, I’m not one for conspiracy theories but the more people I speak to in the industry, the more it’s obvious there’s more to this than meets the eye. These are normal people who’ve been around a while. But they’re very suspicious. Gonna be a grim winter.
