frank_spencer
Does ANYONE apart from Malc give a shit?I'll probably catch some of it. Probably the big events but I won't be going out of my way to watch it. More interested in the paralympics in a few weeks. Just because some of what they do is fucking impressive. stevieb
Does ANYONE apart from Malc give a shit? I like watching the odd bit here and there never to watch it again for the next 4 years. Sports I'll watch: Reet fast short running Spear chucking Bikists (if we're on for medals) Rowing (if we're on for medals) Feetin wit yed guards
kent_white
Does ANYONE apart from Malc give a shit? Excitement factor 1.2 (out of 10). For comparison - Eurovision gets 3.
Site Supporter barryk32 Posted August 4, 2016 Site Supporter Share Posted August 4, 2016 All water sports get a watch due to the chances of dead bodies and severed limbs washing up on live tele being right up there.
tomski
Didn't watch the 2012 one. Utter shit, that people pretend to care about. Saying that I went to an Olympic football match and found Honduras can sound like wanderers if you put your mind to it
Salford Trotter
I really enjoy the Olympics so judging by the posts so far i must be in the minority. Golden Saturday in 2012 was superb entertainment
Members bolty58
No real interest and even worse when you live down here. Aussies are like yanks - there's no other fecker competing it seems. I learned this when I first came down here and some bird from some outback town in NSW ran 6th in a hurdles final in a "PB" time. They only concentrated on her - no mention of the gold, silver and bronze placings. Fucking oddballs. I also recall some bloke from St. Kitts winning a gold and the UK news was full of it - pleased for the underdog etc. Never even rated a mention here. I will be avoiding wherever possible and keep track and feel (see what I did there?) via Sky UK News.
Guest
no doubt interest levels will soar once it gets going and we are doing well

jules_darby
Well, I like it Totally agree that the seemingly increased doping and introduction of "pro sports" seems to have contributed towards it losing it's shine though I loved 2012 and thought it was brilliant for this country too As others have said, I won't go out of my way to watch that much of it but then I didn't for the Euro's really either
Smiffs
I take it beach volleyball is one of the games?
Ani
2012 was brilliant. This feels like an anti climax after that. Watch the athletics and anything we are good at.
L/H White
I like it and will watch when I can Gutted the track events are early hours of the am though I'll watch as much of the, golf, athletics, cyling and judo as I can

Sweep
I'll watch the finals of the bikist events, if it looks like we're going to win a medal I'll also watch Jess Ennis and KJT, but that's mainly in a pervy way
Traf
I'll watch the finals of the bikist events, if it looks like we're going to win a medal I'll also watch Ellie Simmonds, but that's mainly in a pervy way
Site Supporter Tonge moor green jacket Posted August 5, 2016 Site Supporter Share Posted August 5, 2016 I like it, won't watch everything but enjoy seeing stuff not normally on. Suspense of rowing etc. I'll be politically incorrect but much prefer normal to the Paralympics.
bgoefc
Will watch athletics and the odd sport I watch once every four years like badminton and squash. Sports like football, basketball, baseball, golf and tennis should not be there. Andy Murray carrying the flag tonight is a joke.
Farrelli
Really looking forward to the track cycling. Had an opportunity to watch Team GB in their pre-Rio training at Newport velodrome which was excellent.

Sweep
. I'll be politically incorrect but much prefer normal to the Paralympics. Politically incorrect or not, I'm with you. I don't generally watch the Paralympics, mainly because I really don't understand a lot of what is going on with regards to the classifications. Some of the races, especially in the swimming seem to make no sense at all to me

deane koontz
Are darts now included since they have had bmx-ing and horse prancing? I'll watch the fast running to medium fast running and maybe whatever Mo Farah runs. The amount of people who were wanking themselves daft over everything about the 2012 games was embarrassing. The legacy... oh the legacy..Soppy cunts.
