  1. We lost one of our small group a few years back. His last game/goal Wilbraham vs Forest. Makes me smile and remember him and the look on his face, every time it pops up. Hold on to the happy memories.

Under the previous regime/system any managers first instruction is to get stuck in to Sheehan. He gets kicked out of the game. Normally it's because he's coming deep and receiving a suicide ball from 5 yards facing his own goal. Folk say he goes missing in big games, that variably means the opposition have done a job on him and we never thought of a way to counteract that.

I stand corrected, you’re absolutely right he’s not been on the receiving end of one of the top 10 worst tackles in football. Soft bastard

I’d love to see Sheehan in a faster team and with proper wingers to pick out as an option. I’m not saying I definitely want him to stay, he is part of the soft underbelly of the old regime, there’s no doubt about that, but he’s very good at that diagonal ball over a full back and I think he’s been restricted in getting the ball moving by our lack of pace and general lack of movement from our frankly shit front line last season. Anyway, whatever will be will be. SS is saying all the right things about what he wants his side to be. If he thinks that Sheehan or GT work well in achieving it then great, I’m looking forward to seeing it.

Cheese when we get new posters in the politics thread.
  6. Hi mate, so sorry to hear about your mate. I lost my BWFC mate during covid. I'm sure the bwfc family ( well the balding 50 year old blokes on here), understand what a shit time it is, but I can guarantee the piss taking and drinking will continue, as we remember the top lads that are no longer with us

That's my quiet pint entertainment sorted. Lovely stuff.
  8. Think the club shop were equally confused when he asked for a Whopper with fries.
  9. Aye, lots of our 'fans' are whoppers.

In all honesty if you are playing dead rubbers at the back end of the season you are all ready planning for next season Out of contract players would not figure high in the managers thoughts. Think you are seeing issues where really none lay......As someone attending games at the backend of the season do you really want to watch players who have no future in the club stroll around and not put a shift in.....Or do you want to see two or three kids thrown in and run all day trying 100%

I think GT might do better in a side where more are on the same page in terms of effort and application, rather than one where he's charging around trying to shake a team of wet farts into some sort of action. If SS wants the team to play quicker and a bit more direct, he's capable of responding to that and going with it. In short, he's one of SS's lesser concerns

This. We've not had many clubs come in for our players, but only Tomo was one, and to a higher league team. Morley was taken on loan, by a better team than us and performed well. Meanwhile, Sheehan shits out, increasingly plays like a crab, and complains to fans about being kicked. He simply goes missing too often, especially against better teams, which says a lot. I'd drive him myself, but I'm not loading my van with cotton wool before we set off.
  13. Yesterday the lives of the family and those close to Chris changed forever, as he passed away on holiday in Marrakesh. Some might have known him as@CSW on here, he posted occasionally. He had the odd foray away with the Anthill Mob too. He was my best BWFC mate and I travelled the country with him watching the whites. We ran our lads football team at Moss Bank for 10 years Going to the game won’t quite be the same again. RIP pal

So much wrong with this. So much a sign of our times. Does his age matter? Sadistic? Beating the shit? Barely in her 20’s? (Late twenties would be ok?)

I do agree, i'm just fed up of 'fans' coming on here slagging one player after another off because they don't perform like world beaters every week. We are where we are, there 1st division players with faults.
  17. Bet Iranian beak is mint.

What do, Lolos, Forino, Collins, Jones, Southwood, Sheenan,Thomasson, Santos, Johnston, McAtee, Baxter, Tu Tu, Schon, Randall, Adeboyejo and Nlundulu have in common. According to a lot of posters on here their all shit. Were either in a right mess or fans' need to get in touch with reality and relise were a Div 1 team with Div 1 players.
  19. Fair enough- our pm still gave tacit agreement though, as did the German PM. Quietly, I think the world has had enough, and been happy for the US to seize the opportunity.

In recruitment I always considered ... 1. Would you move Heaven & Earth to get this person on board ? 2. If you walked in & this person was already here would I feel the need to move them on ? Well, also ... 3. If female are they fit ? 4. Do they support Stretford or Liverpool ? I would not be looking to tip Sheehan out with the trash.
  21. RIP fellow Wanderer. On behalf of all balding 50yrs+ Bolton fans, let's hope the team can have a great upcoming season on his behalf.

Bring it on. Let them destroy everything we take for granted. We'd deserve it.

It's amazing how many people she seems to trigger/enrage
  27. Let's just hope they've definitely destroyed all of Iran's capabilities. This is the kind of thing you HAVE to get 100% right. If they've not - the next couple of months are going to be a bit of an arse twitcher! If they have - then it's a job well done (apart from if you're one of the dead Iranians I suppose).

😂😂😂 Question his ability, effectiveness, how tough his is etc., but if you’ve not seen Sheehan get clattered then what you’re saying is that you don’t watch any of our games. He gets properly twatted at least once in every game.

My lad had his U7s final at City's academy this morning. 5-0 down in the first five minutes, looking very grim. Amazingly pulled it back to be winning 6-5. They were neck and neck until we went 11-9 up with 2 minutes left. Thought the job was done. Unbelievably the other team scored 3 in the last 2 minutes and we lost 12-11. Lost it with literally the LAST kick of the game. Genuinely gutted, but massively proud of all of them. He played the full 40 minutes and walked off the pitch absolutely shattered and in tears. Chin up lads.
  36. Workrate Can tackle Can track runners Occasional worldie pass Motivator of others Totally Committed to the cause and leads by example Not yet reached his peak - has more development to come Worth more money than Sheehan should we sell Doesn’t need others to “protect” him or cover for him More suited to the athletic, robust style that Schuey is building That said, Sheehan is clearly better quality than Thomo but he epitomises the style that made us also rans.

City are very clever with this. After hoovering up the best from all academics, they're making a fortune selling them all to help with FFP. No idea what the answer is but it does seem City and Chelsea are dominating the youth scene
