He was certainly well regarded when Bristol City offered £1m for him when he'd barely played that much for us Funny thing is, imo, even with a couple more seasons and captaincy experience under his belt, I'm not sure we'd get as good an offer for him this time The only player I was bothered about keeping was Collins and he's gone, I'm really not arsed now about who else might leave I'm seeing SS building a new look team and line up, whoever he is happy to move on and not be a part of that is fine by me

Thomasson at full back has me thinking about Scott Green, dropped back in there and whilst not the quickest certainty did a good job for us.....and like GT was combative and could deliver a decent ball.

Well that’s too much pre season internet for me today

So we’ve got 2 proper wingers, with Des and Schon seemingly as back up / challengers for those spots. Likely leaving CMG as free to go. We’ve got 2 ball playing centre mids in Morley and Sheehan. We’ve got 1 of the 2 ‘big’ more defensive minded centre mids in Simons and are clearly looking to add a second. We’ve got 2x no.10s who could be considered starters in Randall and McAtee. Clearly neither could be in SS’s mind but on the face of it they would be the best options at the moment. Leaving Lolos as surplus to requirements. We’ve only got 1 big lad up top. Unless he sees Dan as the back up option then there’s surely another coming in and I’d imagine Dan is free to go (god knows on Vic). More than enough centre backs, with possibly 1 likely to leave. JDC as the lone right back. Wouldn’t be surprised to see another come in. Left back is an interesting one. He could be happy with Conway and GT as his options, or he might not be keen on either in which case there’s a couple to come in. And then keepers, TSL is clearly first choice. Wouldn’t surprise me to see ‘Hutch’ play second fiddle and get some game time in the cups. So I reckon we’ve got 1 striker, 1 right back and 1 centre mid to come in, unless we see others go that aren’t surplus to requirements (Lolos and CMG).

    Think they've been smoking crack.

It feels so strange to be announcing transfers on a weekend Iles confirms we'll be seeking a replacement, which is good news because I think it'd have been a mistake to rely on Hutch as the understudy

I wish him well. He was a very decent back up but ultimately wasn't going to be a great #1.

I would if they’re past their sell by date and the money is right!

It wasn't and Bolty is wrong yet again. Even his favourite GBeebies ran with it. He's getting close to Dan Hannan in utter wrongness on almost everything.

If someone on here listed every player the someone wanted out, we wouldn't have a squad to start the new season. Thomasson was far from our worst player last season.
  13. This was always going to happen once people started making a huge fuss over what was realistically not that big a deal in the grand scheme of things.

Just means you can have four of you sat together and all four of you are committed to every game. No opportunity to buy any extras See above. 500 AST is 500 tickets.

B team played 4-3-3 yesterday and in possession the defensive midfielder dropped back deep, centre backs were wide and full backs were over half way line and overlapped wingers sometimes. Transition forward is fast, and need fast mobile centre backs. Won't be so much sideways build up this season I reckon.
  16. I assumed @L/H White meant Liverpool. No idea we’d played.
  17. Just sent me this. Think we all owe him an apology.

Lot of love for N’mai who no one has ever seen play. Great weekend landing 2 wingers
  19. 6 feet isn't that big for a keeper these days. Anyway, he's gone now, so it's water under the bridge.
  20. That's ITV for you...
  21. And he was allowed to appear on a national TV show as a main character. Disgrace. Whoever commissioned Auf Weidershen should be hanged
  22. Blimey. Gary Holton. Kitsch by The Heavy Metal Kids is in my top 10 albums that I’ve ever bought Yeah, I’m an old cunt like you. Festivals used to be festivals. Who gave a toss what was said or performed. Somebody maybe wrote about it in a fanzine that you picked up months later Wonder how the 70s/80s festivals and concerts would be reacted to now? Bands smashing gear up, throwing TVs out of hotel windows, punks dressing up in nazi regalia, band members dying from booze/drugs, etc, etc…. A couple of shit bands/artists saying hurty things at a BBC wankfest and the world turns upside down. Just fuck off and die on the vine of disinterest
  23. When, & why, has everyone decided GT is a full back ... assuming he's not pensioned off & converted into a ball-boy and 4th choice keeper ?
  24. Quality that. Against that serve, I was concerned in the last set. Once he got a return in, Norrie won a decent number of points.
  25. You can get one per AWAY ST Your 4 tickets have to have A away ST
  26. Plus a manager who's been there done that etc
  27. Blackpool worry me. Some good business there and they weren't a million miles off last season.

  29. Basically, it says what I posted before. No chance of a Palestinian state, whilst their leaders have no interest in recognising Israel. Should these terror groups change and show a new face then Israel would have its peace, and there would be no need for the objection to one. Moreover, pressure would be brought to bear from allies. There are elections in Israel, with different parties vying for leadership. If the ruling party wasn't prepared to move with the times, and the new peace, they could easily find themselves out of office. This was almost the case not to long ago, but Hamas changed all that.

  33. Perhaps the best thing to do next is You explain explicitly what you see as the difference between depopulation and obliteration And then Explain why you brought up terrorist acts committed in our country They we can take it from there
  34. Hamas are a terror group. anyway here it is.
  35. Days ago. He'll have changed his mind by now.
  36. Apologies for my buzzword of depopulation which I gleaned from your endless posting of your left wing link. Still doesn't mean obliteration does it, which one side clearly wants ? Anyway, you have a good night fella, and sleep tight in the knowledge that the Jews in our country won't want to plant a bomb here at a kids concert, or maybe blow a few trains up on the tube......as you were son 😘
  37. It was brought up again today as people in Australia have been targeting Jews whilst chanting death to the IDF

RIP to the two lads and condolences to their families. It was a double take moment when reading the news. Understandable that the fans of the club are rallying around. However I can also see the point some are making about the mawkish nature of some of the reaction. It becomes another form of virtue signalling ego-tripping and there is too much of it in the modern world.

  40. Absolutely, many folk conveniently forget that certain folk want to obliterate Israel and deprive it of the right to exist, as is clearly stated on the Hamas Covenant. Once they realise this undisputed proof, then the sooner they can actually understand
