Had some free time today and saw that ValeWays had a 65 page match thread so thought I'd delve in... PREMATCH Not just that, Bolton have 17pts from 7 home games this season. Think they've won their last 7 home games in a row (all comps). Not many would have an away win down for this. Obviously hope im wrong, but i do fear abit of a thrashing here. KICK OFF Couldnt tell you mate i left at 4:07 likes

The difference isn’t comps, it’s season tickets. The Wrexham game would have had around 3k season ticket holders missing (still holiday time and live on TV) but counted in the attendance figures. Barnsley game was match tickets bought expressly for that game, the week before. Will have been virtually no no-shows. Hence, more on, despite a smaller attendance.5 likes

The issue is the headline MUSLIM MP SAYS THEY MUST TAKE OVER THE WHOLE OF THE UK And the account that posted it has 212k followers 886 reposts, 81 quotes, 1,917 likes, 176 bookmarks It'll be flying around WhatsApp too no doubt But the video doesn't match the headline that will be enraging folk who are easily influenced or see what they want to see4 likes

Always easy to pick MOTM from one of the flair players because they look so good when they’re allowed to play. Sheehan and ACD didn’t shine until we earned the right to play half an hour into the game, so my MOTM was the coaching staff who in recent weeks have got us defending and attacking as a team - which wasn’t the case earlier in the season. Everyone worked together to wrestle control back and once we scored the first we had a platform for the flair players to strut their stuff. Captain Toal and GJ were the bedrock of that for the full 90 so they are definitely contenders but the last three games have been all about the whole team working together, tackling and tracking back to give the opposition nothing and then going in for the kill. Our improved collective defending is the key to our recent success IMO as it eventually forces the opposition to give our more technical players space and time on the ball - the very thing they all set out to nullify earlier in the season - our Achilles Heel. But for now, that problem has been solved thanks to SS and the coaching staff.4 likes

Nah But the panaroma that told the story was edited to make it look like he directly encouraged people to fight He didn't We all know he whipped up a frenzy But the BBC should report things accurately as they happen, and then we can make our own minds up GB news et all can make what they want up, I don't watch it and I don't fund it This is piss poor though I'll stick to just Sky Sports News for now3 likes

As much as it pains me to say it, those folded cardboard clapping things genuinely made a difference to the atmosphere.3 likes

He looked good, powerful and flew into a couple of full-on tackles without a second thought. He gives us that sort of energy and physicality when trying to recover the ball high up I'd imagine the S&C team are on this but, as well as strengthening to prevent reoccurrence of recent issues he'll also need plenty of flexibility work, he seems the sort of lad that's had a lot of wear and tear and would benefit from Gary Speed's sort of approach to prolonging his career3 likes

Was impressed with Dempsey when he came on and was delighted for him. He was always very lean and muscular, but fuck me he looks like he’s in incredible shape now. Muscles on muscles. Hopefully this will help him avoid injuries, so he can really push for a long term place in the team and a new contract. Great option in that 10 spot and as an 8 too. Match-wise. Pretty regulation stuff. You’re never going to have it all your own way and as was the case when they came flying out of the traps and put it right on us. Normally our teams would try to calm things down, get on the ball and compose ourselves, but no. Was great to see us immediately get on the front foot when we got the ball and put it on them instead! A really sign of intent and what this manager is all about. Some really good football played at times and as mentioned further up, we have players working so hard especially in attack, earning that right to play. Burstow again, was brilliant. He’s a really really good frontman3 likes

Seems like he is going nowhere in Jan Brighton want him to stay with us and have no intention of sending him to championship as they think it will stunt his development halfway through a season. They are extremely happy with how Bolton have handled him and his form for us and want it to continue. This is on sky sports if anything thinks it shit2 likes

So what we're looking for, based on the ferocious arguments on this thread, is a news outlet that is as near to being unbiased as possible, whilst also accepting that even then, one or two staffers may fuck it up? Or, do we all just want overtly political news outlets that become an echo chamber for our own beliefs? Seems to be that everyone agrees GB News are on the right? Talk TV is on the right? The BBC get criticism from both sides so by definition is probably very close to centre?2 likes

Violence should be the last thing on anyone's mind when visiting Amsterdam ffs. Unless it entails having your kidneys booted out of your throat whilst getting stomped and smashed in by S&M Ingrid.2 likes

My Dutcher colleagues, when I've asked them about this, said there was a little bit of trouble, but pretty much fuck all compared to when Feyenord come to Amsterdam 😁. Most of the trouble, they reckon was caused by Dutch fans who went looking for it.2 likes

I have heard Rudy has him on a special regime and diet. Couple of good things on Saturday were when ACD was subbed three or 5 players just applauding hiM as he went and then the reaction to the Dempsey goal you could see the players knew what it meant. I do think we have to be cautious with our optimism though, clearly things have stepped up a level but it is all very fine margins. Burton was only 3 games ago. Lots to be positive about but need to keep our focus and not launch HMS Pisstheleague just yet.2 likes

maybe it's because the facts as you see them have been edited? Trump did not cover himself in glory on his way out, and there's no doubt his words and actions after the election contributed massively to what went down but you can't report on it and edit his words to make it sound like he directly roused everyone to turning up and fight it just fuels the fire of the anti-msm crowd who shout about bias - well - that's exactly what they've gone and done2 likes

Always want to give anyone who puts the white shirt on a chance. But it is getting to the point where the question on how many more chances does Randell get? his off the ball work rate has improved, 100% and will give him credit for that. However, the priority of someone in that role is to link, create and add goals himself. Work rate is a bare minimum. Options to play that role are improving all the time. Forss, McAtee, Dempsey and Morley who can also do a job in there more effectively than what Randell is currently delivering. If he doesn’t take his “chance” soon he’ll very quickly be 5th choice. he’s struggling to control the ball or make a 5 yard pass at the minute and quite clearly he’s a confidence player and it appears to be on the floor. But time and this squad will wait for no man he needs to get a grip of himself and quickly2 likes

His first game back this Saturday since mid Oct. Partly to injury, then a victim of half term holidays and the weather. Best he’s played in ages. Box of tricks, looked fit, hungry and completely energised. Had 2 glorious chances to score in the first few minutes of the game cutting in off the line and getting 1v1 with the keeper, but on both occasions squared it for his teammate to tap it into the empty net instead. Had to speak to him about being a cocky little fucker though, megged a lad and called it when they were about 6-1 up. Was a bit embarrassing to be honest as there’d been no aggro at all in the game. Don’t want to knock that confidence out of him, but there’s a time and place for all that and wasn’t on Saturday in Adlington2 likes

Don't understand this? I for one am glad to have him back even if it's for a limited number of games. We've had a real problem in that 10 position and I'm not convinced by Forss, Mcatee or Randall. To be fair to Mcatee, he made a big impact at Huddersfield and swung the pendulum in our favour but is too inconsistent. Randall has had more than enough chances to show something. I can't remember a single game when he was the best player on the pitch. He had a chance on Saturday running at the back 4 just outside the box and took the easy pass. Most other 10's in that position are driving at the defence and looking to bury it in the top corner. He runs hard but never wins the ball and is adept at making it look like he's trying to get there but really never intends to put that proper challenge in. Just too weak. I remember that game away at Peterborough that finished 3-3 and he was MOM that day, scored and was a constant thorn in our side. We haven't seen anything close to that. I think it's time to cut our losses with him as he just weakens our starting 11.2 likes

Not sure about this sympathy for Randall. He's been given ample opportunities to show what he can do and failed, totally. He seems like a nice, possibly too nice a lad, so what? He was fortunate that IE wanted him and is being well paid, given 3rd tier wages. I'd be interested to hear SS explanation of why he has had so much game time recently. He's keeping better players out of the team and need to go on loan to Mr Evatt in January, yes please!2 likes

No. I think he's just being judged as guilty by association. Lots of innuendo but no actual evidence as far as I've heard? Got to play a straight bat!1 like

Some people don’t agree with antisemitism in the U.K. others choose to ignore it. Apparently fans being refused tickets in the UK because a minority ripped down flags and sang some songs in another country happens in football. It clearly doesn’t (unless you support an Israeli team)1 like

It might not be perfect but it's our BBC and any cunting yank can keep his nose well out. Also it has Royal Charter so he might as well sue his new pal King Charles.1 like

In the denseness of gun smoke brave Newport's mini-revival came to a dramatic halt as a quartet of missiles floored them in a brutal Peaky Blinders assault at Rodney Parade. Cannons roared, as vitriol flared with six players booked - County's spirited display derailed as a brace off Ryan Finnigan bullets, other daggers from the flashing blades of Daniel Kanu and Rico Browne spilling County blood. Kai Whitmore's rocket response and a goal from Ged Garner bit back, but too many chinks in the County rear-guard allowed the Sadlers to show just why they dwell at the summit of League Two. This was a crazy encounter with five strikes in the opening half, but County remain rock bottom of the Football League and seeking a first home points maximum in almost eight months - despite grabbing a lead here and winning four out of their last five matches coming into this crunch. Newport were unaltered for the third successive game, which meant skipper Lee Jenkins had shrugged off a cut eye sustained in last Saturday's Emirates FA Cup triumph over Gillingham to take his place at the heart of defence - the Exiles continuing to favour a diamond midfield blueprint, with playmaker Kai Whitmore feeding Courtney Baker-Richardson and Garner at the cutting edge. The visitors, residing adjacently to Birmingham's Spaghetti Junction,, made one alteration to their line-up that demolished National Conference Eastleigh 3-0 in the FA Cup first round last weekend - centre linkman Finnigan slotting in for Brandon Comley. the table-topping Sadlers, led by towering ex-Bristol City centre back Aden Flint, boast the tightest rear guard in the section, yet their attack was showing it's teeth only 28 seconds after kick off. Aaron Presley lashed a glorious chance over the bar after Courtney Clarke had ghosted inside from the left, before Whitmore rose highest to nod a volley from the aforementioned Clarke off the line with Exile keeper Jordan Wright stranded. Former Grimsby man Wright then beat back an angled Kanu blast as swaggering Walsall moved into top gear. Yet the stunned Sadlers trailed to a sharp Newport counter in the 17th minute. Garner raced free on the right and squared for Whitmore to send a 20-yard right-foot screamer past Myles Roberts. It was the ex-Haverfordwest man's third goal of the campaign. Yet, that flash of brilliance had been eclipsed by the ruthless Midlanders with three bullets piercing brave County's armour inside 20 astonishing minutes. Kanu had levelled for the Sadlers less than 60 seconds later - this the prelude to rampaging Finnigan bagging a brace on 19 and 37 minutes leaving the Exiles shellshocked. Newport were rocking, but their new-found resilience showed as they sprang from the canvas, to roar back seven minutes on, Garner spinning onto Baker-Richardson's cushioned header, the ex-Barrow striker squeezing his left-footer past stretching Roberts' right hand. It was spell-binding stuff with the excellent Sammy Braybrooke guilefully prompting centrally. Newport defensive frailty was fatally exposed again just seven minutes into the restart, though - Browne bundling home Evan Weir's out-swinging left-side corner in a congested box. Tempers flared before and after the hour - referee Ben Atkinson showing yellow to County's Braybrooke, Habeeb Ogunneye, Ben Lloyd and Whitmore - Walsall's Connor Barrett and Flint also cautioned in separate incidents as the fires crackled..1 like

Well he would say he'd been offered an amount by Wolves & it was up to Arsenal to match or better it. We wanted the larger fee, he wanted the larger wage ... & he went on strike about it after he returned. He is a Scouser after all. He was a fantastic player & made himself the fulcrum of any team he played in.1 like
