Plus we are 3rd in the league. It's hardly been a shambles all driven by bingo machine selections. Imagine after that bad run over Xmas SS had kept the same team and systems. Fuck me there'd have been a meltdown. We are two or three results away from having a good season and rushing for autos. The way folk go on we are mid table and miles off the pace.
  2. Quality watch...and watching his big smile while watching footage was class, its what its all about. If you cant enjoy these things in footy, whats the point, loved it.

My father in law was a steward at the time. Right by the gate to the away end. Couple of minutes in some lad shouts something pro-United and he asks does he want to move into the away end. He refuses. First goal goes in, he jumps in celebrating and got absolutely hammered. He was begging to go through the gate. My father-in-law refused.

  6. Whatever he told her, she still sanctioned a £12M payout to silence someone.
  7. Ha ha 😀 Let's appreciate them while they are there. Because you just know there will be no ticket office or humans in the not too distant future. It feels like a privilege to be able to go to the T/O, or ring them up easily, and get stuff sorted without fuss. They even speak English and don't ask how you are today or ask if there's anything else they can help you with or if wouldn't mind just filling in a survey on your ticketing experience today.
  8. can't open the link with it being the sun
  9. Got to Rotherham early doors one year with @victor meldrew. Got refused entry to Milmore because I had a little too much to drink. Which I couldn't argue against. Mainly because I couldn't talk. Anyway, because of some stupid bylaw about entering a sporting arena while intoxicated I got locked up and later took to Rotherham Central. While there I met PC Roscoe. He was GMPs football intelligence officer for Bolton. Back then Bolton were causing havoc at most away fixtures in the country. He basically wanted me to be his grass. Anything being planned or folk involved in frontline action he wanted names. He told me that they knew who the big boys were but needed someone "in the mix". FFS I have never been "in the mix" in my life. No matter how much I tried @Casino and @victor meldrew never did get that 5am door knock.
  10. I'm same with dogs. Little half hour before bed ill some dude scraping barnacles off sea turtles. A touch of Rufus the bull attacking his owners Ranger truck then finish off with Holly the blue staffy. What have we become
  11. Yes, plus the The Hoof doctor. But I watch them on FB.....
  12. Yeah maybe she believed him when he said he really was at pizza express, so gave him £12m so he could give it to someone he'd never met for something he never did But be aware The queen stripped him of his royal and military titles before they settled out of court Which suggests she knew enough
  13. Now why would you do that? Abolish the monarchy
  14. One hour 47 minutes of pure shite his speech was. The man’s been rinsed by fact checkers https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cgmlzg0p8k2o “In my first ten months I ended eight wars” 😂 The most ridiculous speech in state of the union history. Anyone painting that speech as beautiful is off their fucking rocker
  15. No he gave 2 options, and didn’t indicate a preference.

So, if we aren't getting results, when do we change the team? Not trying to be clever, its just not that easy. Lincoln and Cardiff haven't had a bad spell yet, we can't really include them. If they'd had the away form we've had all season they wouldn't be bragging about having an unchanged team for 25 games. It would be interesting to see what the "first XI" would be, I'm not disagreeing with the principle but imagine the weekly discussions on here if the likes of Forino, Conway, Dempsey were overlooked every week in the interests of keeping a settled side.
  17. Even earlier then superb, well done ticket office.
  18. Time to get rid now for me
  19. https://youtube.com/@beaplumber?si=eNY1U3U3myPZX-cT This lad is the best on there for when it comes to trade videos. He's ace
  20. I watch a few Bass Guitar dudes try and do Les Claypool.
  21. Good afternoon sahib, my name is Gary and I can save you some money today for sure.
  22. Well yeah, but it's worth the money to me As I probably watch more YouTube than I do 'normal' Tele/Netflix etc
  23. 1000 sold for this, good effort
  24. I went Millmoor on a bus from Albion. Kicked off big style in a boozer at back of ground, all "Yorkshire Miner" in sheepskin jackets and bent noses. Remember buying a pie that's was about 1000*c hot, and walking down the passageway side of ground to the away end and Rotherham fans were spitting and throwing shit at us. I took aim and lobded the said pie upwards, it hit the wall beneath a Millers fan and spattered against the wall covering his neck and under chin region with molten potatoe (larva), can still see his face as he clutched his neck and the pain on his face! We drew 2-2 i Think and Wayne Foster went in goal after keeper went off injured, sure he saved a penalty, and we drew 2-2. Me and my mate got off bus at bottom of Shack in Tyldelsey and went in Chippy and Wayne Foster, was getting dropped off as we came out of chippy, we walked up Shakerley road with him and he was eating our chips laughing at the tale about the pie Great days!!
  25. Just renewed. They had my youngest down as needing an U18 on the auto renew even though he only turns 13 in July. Quick call to the office and all sorted. They are great down there aren't they 😀

  28. watch both of those. we also stumbled across london eats, ended up spending ages on it. the views he gets are insane, he'll be making a fortune ginger could catch fish in a puddle, not sure how long i'll last with him though as I've sold my pike/perch stuff

  30. Thought it was a bit sad at the end big Sam tearing up . What could have Been and missed opportunities and what came after the mistakes made and were we are now . 😢
  31. Blimey. We're old! Farnworth broke his ankle that day iirc. I'm wondering if that was the season we brought John Platt(?) in as cover/replacement. Simon Rudge scored the equaliser that day. A low drive into the corner at the opposite end.

  33. That's why he takes them in He's grooming them to do these things Jeffery Epsting
  34. West Ham, innit?
  35. Gutted to be missing this. Exeter is a great away day. Those pubs by the river and the best Wetherspoons in the country! 😂 But serious family issues/health, have curtailed my away days this season. Think the biggest thing I miss is that temporary break away from the negativity of social media. 1200 people (for at least 8 hours!) will have genuine hope and belief that we’ll win on Saturday. Not only win, but win and still be in with a chance of the top two - I cringe posting that because away from that moment and dealing with folk who’ve never experienced (or forgotten) that feeling, it’s deemed as delusional, happy clappy nonsense. But enjoy it boys and girls. EIEIEIO, The Whites Are Going Up. Sing your hearts out and believe that this can still turn into a great promotion winning season COYFWM 👏
  36. all respect gone for the queen after she paid off virginia giuffre for him different world for them and they don't give a fuck about the folk on the outside looking in harry did the right thing in fucking them off god doesn't exist, and if he did i'd not be asking him to save any of them i'm not saying abolish them, i'm just not seeing them as anything that is representative of modern britain or me, it's all just medieval fairty stuff, this king and queen and castle lark
  37. Charlie has done more to punish Andy than his mum ever did, but I've no desire to sing songs honouring him even though I did for Lizzy. He just doesn't have my respect like his mum did. I'll happily belt out an anthem saluting England or the UK but not one about the royals. Not going to go all self pity city about it and turn my back just stand there politely like I would for the yank/french/Uzbekistani anthem
  38. do we need a new national anthem? the other is very out dated, and the family have been outed as wrong ens change it, or more people like me will just simply keep turning their back on it

I always take what Allardyce says with a pinch of salt. I’m not sure I believe his comments about PG not wanting Champions League football. Sam previously said the club couldn’t find the money and then once PG died he changed it to “the club said they didn’t want champions league football” but Phil wasn’t here to defend himself on that.

Whether or not anyone perceives Megson was a good manager what cant be disputed was that he was a toxic twat with a chip the size of Stonehenge on his shoulder. He should never in the memory of man even been on the shortlist for a Premier League managers job but having got it decided to go to war with the supporters because a minority got their bedsheets out........he was on borrowed time from his first week in the job.
  42. Ramsdale joined Sheff Utd at 15 so not sure we can claim much there. Point taken on Holding, but we were obviously a very different club by that point. Lostock is probably better than Euxton in terms of having the artificial pitches etc, but a lot of it is still cabins etc isn’t it? With the amount of focus that was placed on the off-field stuff, it just feels a bit weird that there wasn’t a focus on completely revamping the facilities as well (other than the chryo chamber and the minor improvements they made for the kitchens etc)

It certainly will be painful. Every less than perfect result and we're falling out the playoffs, SS out, SB out.

To stop us getting caught out everytime we lose the ball high up the pitch with Conway well out of position?
  45. I firmly believe a “derby” is only really a same city thing the rest are rivalry’s. Local or for any other matter although I do think in some instances a local rival game generates more hatred than a same city derby as they’re often built on historical issues / fundamental different way of seeing the world united hate Liverpool far more than city for example. not sure I could cope with us having a rival in the same town. Get worked up enough over local games. the stoke & Vale hatred is under estimated too. It’s pure, mouth foaming tackle
  46. Aye "one man went to mow". I had an uncle at that game who was a fairly infrequent visitor to Burnden having been loads in the 70s. For months afterwards he was singing "one man went to mow". Meanwhile our fans were singing it for two years afterwards as we "settled" in Div 3.
