  1. Away leg sells out in 30 seconds to stand in someone’s back bedroom for the same price. Orient sells out in 15 minutes for a tenner more. But folk object to our club actually trying to cover their costs and, god forbid, actually get a bit of warchest money 🙃

  2. But we are also a 'community' club. So the decision is not totally commercial. With the run of games and cost we will incur as fans the club could have chosen to make a thank you gesture. Without bankrupting themselves. I have no problem with the pricing but we can not use the hard commercial line one week and then talk about being a community club the next. I wonder were the ST consulted on this one ?

  3. As someone who really likes Baxter, you don’t believe this do you? Silly comparing eras. One was a distinguished Bolton and England top level keeper and the other I like a lot.

  6. On a delayed train without one of your kids, because you couldn't get enough tickets from the club. All the best, mate, hope it's a good one.

  9. Thanks for all the well wishes folks, my old man read every single one. Hes still a bit in shock with it all, worried he could've done more etc which is natural I suppose. Hes going to sort something on the remembrance group later and Ill email the club. Roy actually played for Bolton in the 60s as he liked to tell my kids every week He was an entertainer by trade, comedian and organ player. Played The Stanley Arms in Blackpool which was the start of the Ma Kellys empire. Regularly played at BWSC events when we had meetings over this way. He did a gig at the opening of McGinlays in the 90s too. Roy Rolland the stage name, Roy Halliday proper. Just a few details folk might be interested in anyway. Love to all x

  10. Promotion isn't about remembering one day though.... it's the whole of next season - and beyond.

  12. I don’t see how losing to Accy will have a positive effect on the squad. Defeat to an average league 2 team isn’t exactly good preparation for a league game 3 days later. Try to win, but rest players to protect the squad where possible.

  14. Puy Hoppy into today's coaching/sports science and nutrition environment and then compare. Otherwise it's a bit of a silly argument. I think the relative comparison by Mounts stands up to scrutiny more.

  29. aways used to be free, just needed the current kit and have match tickets- the experience then changed depending on who we were playing. th'eldest did it v Burnley in the 125 anniversary game; turns out didnt even need tickets, and they were great hosts. she had a full team photo, which is rare

  30. Should fucking think so. Also shouldn't have been an option - should've been stripped of it or, better still, never have been given it in the first place.
