Just start Cole Palmer please.

Did anyone else hear the rumour that Southgate only picked Palmer for the squad after captain Kane did an interview saying he should be included - and that Southgate reluctantly included him because he was railroaded into it, so is reticent to play him?

Can’t say i did. Not suggesting it’s wrong. Just not heard owt.

He’s so good. Crime to restrict his minutes. Plus he takes a good pen

I don't understand why he doesn't consider Joe Gomez at left back. He's been doing it for Liverpool. Anything has to be better than Trippier constantly cutting back inside because he's right footed!

Tomorrow night I'd be going for

Pickford

Walker Stones Guehi Gomez

Mainoo Rice

Palmer Bellingham Gordon

Kane

..... Foden and Saka coming on as impact subs later in the game if needed.

Saw Saka ruling himself out of LB last night

The rumour you've made up in your head?

Kane shown nothing. I give him a breather try freshen him up. Should be no problem getting past Slovakia whichever 11 are selected.

It's what my mate swears is gospel every time we discuss the England team in the pub. Pretty much everyone else reckons Palmer should play, but mate always throws that spanner in the works whenever it's brought up.

I'd happily drop, Jude, Saka and Kane.

Get Gordon, Watkins and Palmer in

Bloody crying out for movement. We're At our best when we shifting the ball fast and making smart interchanges.

Kootz out😂 a little drastic in my opinion. No way I’m dropping Kane for Watkins. No issue with Palmer or flash coming in though

Looking forward to the games today, good to have it back even though we're clearly going to go into knockout mode of 0-0 and pens every other game. Some potentially really good match ups in this second round.

The thing with having Watkins in he's got that unselfish movement where he creates space and pockets for others even when there's nothing in it for himself. Obviously not the finisher, passer Kane is but fucking hell it's frustrating watching him bumble about.

Yep and he gets in behind defences which you don't see too often from Harry.

I really like the lad. Willing worker and a good enough finisher if the feed is right.

I have a theory on Bellingham. (and by theory I mean totally wishful thinking that he is not as lazy or overcome with his superstar status as it has seemed)

I think he may learned from playing at Real Madrid that every single game does not matter in terms of performance, you do enough to get to next stage and improve as the tournament progresses and then without being the outstanding team you end up winning the thing. Their Champions League/European cup record is so good but they always seem to do just enough, that mentality has rubbed off on Bellingham.

Konsa touted to come in if trippier isn’t fit. Goes from bad to worse. A CB replacing a RB at left back because you banked on our main LB being fit despite not playing for 4 months and you felt it the right decision to not take another legitimate LB

the guy is an absolute fucking clown and I cannot wait to see the back of him.  Yes you could say he’s the reason we got to a WC semi and a Euro final but he’s also 100% the reason why they didn’t turn in to a WC final and Euro title. Bottlelees prick whose always more concerned with stopping the opposition first before working out how we can hurt them

What have you seen that has indicated he's lazy? He seems proper down to earth and not superstarish. He's deffo not lazy.

He's frustrated and I think you can see that but he's not the only one. The system isn't working for anyone. Teams are playing a low block , foden, Bellingham ahd Kane are  all fighting for the same space. Everything is congested and there is no width on the left hand side.

If southgate doesn't address the left hand side it's just gonna be more of the same.
