I’m not sure that many folk on a nice winter holiday will come back that skint that they can’t pay the rent

am fairly certain the biggest problem with this is insurance companies who'd use it as an excuse not pay out

 

if your house is getting robbed via someone who is a "mate" on FB (who also knows where you live) you have bigger issues that FB privacy

 

i.e. you have mates who will either rob you, or who will tip off robbers as to when you're on holiday
