Definitely is pal.

Like any other weather systems the averages as well as the extremes are getting greater.

Rising sea temps spazzing up atmospheric pressure and traditional cylces.

We seem to have had a lot of east winds here over the past few months. We get used to a generic west wind over this way so its really noticeable when the wind changes.

It doesn’t seem to attract attention.

It certainly does, but it gets fobbed off as "unwashed loons protesting for no reason"...

Having walked every day for the last 10 years or so, the thing I notice about the weather is that we seem to get more wind than hitherto.

Don’t know if this is the case, @gonzo?

Climate change was actually thought to be slowing the winds down , they slowed until 2010 and was a phenomenon known as “global stilling “have picked up since, also caused by temperature changes but yes there definitely been increase in wind speeds , which is good for wind farms, for now .

Windy as fuck on the Lancastrian Riviera today.

Proper blowing us about on the M6 doing a two hour round trip to vote.

Could you not have arranged a postal vote, and then sat back with a glass of something?

I could, if I'd known I wasn't going to be at home this week.

When does summer normally start

Its been shit to now

Been more like a "normal" year. Cold and gradually warming up. No warm spell early then cold afterwards.

Unusual rainfall though, driest February and one of the wettest Marches.

Just had some warm days- temp shown on the car was 22⁰C over the weekend.

Areas of the south-west recently had a hose pipe ban introduced though, which may be a sign of things to come. 🤔

Cornwall and North Devon reservoirs never recovered from the staycation influx.

Couple of desalination plants in the plans as well as some more pipelines to knick Somersets water

Aye.

Very hot last summer-insufficient replenishment.

Bit surprised that this winter hasn't helped, and also with March being such a wet month.

Had one of my usual walks around Anglezarke and Rivington today and the reservoirs are very low. Unless we get some serious rain, I can see water restrictions coming in over the summer.

Since it all goes to the scousers I say we let them have their own republic that they’re so desperate for, then they can sort their own water out.

We’ll keep this for ourselves.

Fuck em

What is the state of Thirlmere, or wherever ours comes from?

Surprised that Rivi etc are low, considering March was so bloody wet.
