Any sporting competitions that involve sportsmen and women representing Russia are easy to manage- just ban Russia. Where athletes are competing for themselves then there is an argument that penalising the Russian athletes actually helps Putin by allowing him to say the west is against Russia. Should they be allowed to carry on and show that the beef isn't with Russian people, but certain individuals running the state? Difficult one to call for sure. Andy Murray has criticised the Wimbledon ban, so perhaps other players agree? Quote
