The original mistake was to allow Brighton to take the free kick so quickly.
West Brom were a little naive too, not having someone preventing the quick free kick whilst the keeper set the wall up.

Once the kick is taken, two Brighton players are offside and both move across the box and should (IMO) be deemed as interfering with play. If you're not there to "seek an advantage", why are you there?
