Cheese Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 (edited) Isn't Clayton "under 21"? No. He's "21". Edited September 15, 2015 by Cheese Quote
Leyther_Matt Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 No. He's "21".He only turned 21 on 9th August so won't necessarily count as an overage player depending on the deadline. Quote
Cheese Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 He only turned 21 on 9th August so won't necessarily count as an overage player depending on the deadline. Yeah, I know, but I'm a pedantic twat. Quote

Zico Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 So the definition of U21s re: internationals: This team is for English players aged under 21 at the start of the calendar year in which a two-year European Under-21 Football Championship campaign begins, so some players can remain with the squad until the age of 23. Obvs the calendar year bit could apply to our U21s re: clayton whilst the campaign isn't relevant it also doesn't cover Wheater it is what it is, give it a name Quote
ZiggyStardust Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 Yeah, I know, but I'm a pedantic twat. I wouldn't call you pedantic. Quote
MancWanderer Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 How about just having reserves play against other reserves like when life made sense? Yep, like when they played in The Central League Quote
MalcolmW Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 Yep, like when they played in The Central League Surprisingly, The Central League still exists, though for sponsorship reasons it is marketed as the Final Third Development League. Nowadays it is a tier below our development squad. The member clubs voted out the under 21 rule, so it is open age, with a hint of youth, just like it used to be Quote

chief wiggum Posted September 15, 2015 Posted September 15, 2015 GB Paralympic football team are pleased to announce Luke Shaw as their new captain for the forthcoming Olympic Games in Brazil. I hope you are not taking any pleasure in the fact that a young talented footballer has been badly injured? I suppose it's lucky for United that they hadn't built their team around the player. To be fair, it's probably his own fault for leaving his standing foot standing, before its smashed to pieces by some dirty fucking thug who doesn't get a yellow card. Bit like a player who tries to pull out of an assault, his own fault he got injured probably, what a wuss! Any team that suffers such a loss should probably man up and get on with it and not complain because it's just one of those things. Cunts. Never forgive, never forget Quote
gonzo Posted September 16, 2015 Posted September 16, 2015 I hope you are not taking any pleasure in the fact that a young talented footballer has been badly injured? Not really. Just passing a joke on that's being sent around on various social media. I've had an injury tons worse than that and didnt walk for 18 months let alone play football. Quote
