As ANI said, yes. but I think you're a year out, I thought it was 1979 as my memory ravaged brain seems to recall I was still at school. It was half time, then we had to trudge back to Radcliffe on foot as the buses stopped running because of the weather

That game was absolute dog shit. I was late getting in due to weather/queues, missed our goal but had to watch them equalise as the ball got stuck in the snow, watched Reidy get done by that Scottish twat and as I recall, match was abandoned at HT so no refunds. Played with an orange ball and I think we played in red shirts. Horrible day.

Red shirts! Blimey you’ve got a good memory 👍 I don’t recall but guess it makes sense so we didn’t ‘clash’ with the snow 🤣

Definitely NYD. Living in Adlington at the time and was convinced the night before it would be off due to the freezing conditions. Surprised it was on and I had to walk to Horwich to get a bus (none running in Lancs)

It started snowing at 12.30 and didn’t stop. Should never have started.

It was NYD, 1979. Game was rearranged for April (we won, 3-1).  We also played them at home on Boxing day 1979, the following season.

Proper snow too. Big fat flakes that stuck - perfect for snowball fights, shit for watching football.

Worst thing was Reidy was done for us and Everton signed him cheap because of the injury they’d given him.

By that standard Plymouth would be playing in their away kit every game (I'm joking, but I often struggle with teams that play in a shade of green similar to the grass, if shorts are similar).

So it seems. Even less reason I got pressured by the now Mrs. Feelgood not to go.

T'other one i can think of was walker getting Injured against swansea 92-93 season, missing most of the 93/94 season, then leaving for Celtic. Convinced we'd have gone up that year if he was fit, him and Mcginlay we the best scoring partnership i'd seen in years

Seem to remember Arsenal & Wolves were interested in Reid before his injury 600k fee, after his injury we got 60k.

Arsenal was £750k. At the same time Everton bid £600k. Pretty sure he was threatening to go on strike to force the Everton move through before he got injured.

Remember at the time thinking what we could have done with that £750k.

(in reality, probably two and a bit Len Cantellos)

He was out for a year after Wood broke his leg in 2 places.

Came back, got up to speed & Notts County FB Pedro Richards gave him an ACL on the same knee.

Discussions were ongoing between Arsenal (offered £660k), and Wolves (£600k). Wolves were offering more wages to him so he preferred that. We, however, fancied the bigger fee).

Following recovery from the ACL Everton offered a measly £60k. We took it . He went on to be PFA Player of the Year and an England player.

Seem to remember that Arsenal were quibbling on his wage demands of £500 per week which blew that deal out of the water. Reidy had a great career, but before his injuries he was a fantastic player. Had everything, was England under 21 captain, in a team that included Glen Hoddle.
