bolton va va Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 I'm a bit doubtful about building teams around loan players who we've little chance of signing permanently. We improve the players for their own clubs possiblty at the expense of our own youngsters & rather than building a team, we go backwards when the loanees go back to their clubs .....see Dawson & Juke, but under the circumstances of the club, these look like great signings who will hopefully keep us up until the embargo is lifted & our finances improve further. If we can get cover for Madine as well, I think we've given ourselves a good chance. Well done Ken & Parky. Quote

Really chuffed with these 2 lads from Wham. I really think they will prove their worth with is. These are the type of signings we need, quality over quantity. It's going to be a long season and we need much needed cover in the squad. Given the circumstances we're in, PP and Ken both deserve a massive well done. Quote

ZiggyStardust Posted August 1, 2017 Posted August 1, 2017 I'd assumed a typo in the snippet of information in the BN - it said we couldn't pay more than 100% of a loan player's wages, which seemed a fairly unnecessary restriction to me. its to prevent 100% of wage plus a 'loan fee' to get around any restrictions.
