I’ve read Chris Kyles book which I really enjoyed, think he had either the longest confirmed sniper kill or one of the longest.

Keep meaning to watch the film about him.
I’ll have listen to this

Read the book and watched the film, enjoyed both however like most of these “true stories” The book and Film don’t mirror each other, dig a little deeper and it appears there’s a lot of lies in both. 🤷🏻

@LH whiteit’s more like shinnys own show, JE can’t get a word in.

Yeah I got that impression from his book, it felt more like a novel than an autobiography.

Matt Mills on Undr The Cosh this week, not got to a whole lot of Bolton stuff yet but still have a good half hour left.

Comes across a bit better than I thought but still evident he's not the type I'd want at my club either as a fan or if I were a manager, most evident by the fact that he gets on well with Joey Barton...

Reoccurring theme with Mills, always hard done by and never his fault went things didn't work out.

Said his best years were at Bolton but because the rest of the team were shit and we were struggling in the champ there was no chance of a move to a prem club.

Poor man's wheater for me and that obsession with trying a 60 yard Beckham pass at every opportunity was infuriating

The Dean Saunders live one is a good listen & that's from someone who always thought he was a bit of a knob.

He always strike me as someone who'd be great company for an hour.

... but if you ever bumped into him again he'd repeat the same stories.  If you saw him a third time you'd avoid him.

That’s my take on him. When I first heard him I thought he was great but he does seem to have a limited supply of anecdotes. And some of them eg Brian Clough are totally made up I believe?

Podcast series about the origins of the Qanon conspiracy theory is worth listening to if you're into that kind of thing, the whole thing sprawls much further and deeper than I thought.

Started listening to a podcast on Audible the other month about them. They're off their chops like some kind of collective madness is going on. Thought it was a wind up at first.

Sort of shit seems to have got more popular since that Pizzagate bollocks.

I think Pizzagate fits into it all somewhere along the line. It's all so, so fucking tapped that you wish you could just palm it off as daft as other conspiracy theories but it's directly led to deaths and an actual insurrection!

Its a post truth, post evidence, post sanity world.

I don't much about it, so just had a look into some more via Wikipedia

it starts:

QAnon supporters have baselessly accused many Hollywood actors, Democratic politicians, and high-ranking government officials of being members of the cabal

sounds like some off here might be supporters

That cabal includes a worldwide child paedophile ring where (most, as far as I can tell) famous people, politicians, royals etc pass thousands of kids around the world to use as sex slaves and Donald Trump is some sort of superhero time traveller (I shit you not) sent to defend the world from them.

I've finally bought into podcasts - listen to them walking the dog

got into inifinte monkey cage a bit

theres one called "Behind The Bastards" which is good, gives insight into the life stories of infamous cunts - done R Kelly and John Harvey Kellog so far

the latter is the one who came up with cornflakes, but he was also a very gifted surgeon and a full blown religous nutjob which made him a very dangerous man in the late 19th and early 20th century in the states

found Louis Theroux's grounded interviews as well - done Rose McGowan and Troy Deeney so far

the latter is a great listen, highly recommend it

Will listen to that one tomorrow in the car. Read his book years ago. Was decent. Didn’t mind him as a ref. No Billy Big Bollocks about him. Just got on with it

Was a good listen. Bolton get a few mentions, best one mentions Sam Allardyce after League Cup final v Boro telling Mike Riley that Bolton would’ve been better off having Jeff Winters reffing and he was a Boro fan!

Jeff Winter came across as a cock imo.... Didnt help when 2 minutes after mentioning his wife had died quite recently he used the Wife/mistress analogy to describe his following of Rangers/Boro.

Absolutely fucking crass & insensitive, hope none of her family listen to it.

I'm sure he once said he thought the kop applauded him for something.
